WINTER FIELD
by Joanna Klink

What better witness than this evening snow,
its steady blind quiet, its eventual
completeness, a talc smoothing every surface

through the lumen tricks of ice.
No one who comes here hastens to leave,
though the mineral winter makes a dull

math of cold inside bones, a numbness
thinning into each fingertip and eye.
Faint inquiry traveling toward earth

in shifting silence, a softness in the weather
passing through us, dark moods of snows—
a sense of peace so deep we extend out

into the blackness of our lives, dread and failure,
and feed no hint of terror, only the premonition
of drift-design, the stars behind the snow

burning in ancient immanence over the field.
What lights a world gone blank with despair?
You were here once, you will be here again.

The Blessing That Comes Straight From God

Some passages in Scripture feel like a gentle hand on the shoulder. The priestly blessing from Numbers 6:22-27 is one of them. It is short, memorable, and deeply personal—yet its impact has echoed through thousands of years of God’s people.

“Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Tell Aaron and his sons to bless the people of Israel with this special blessing…’”

This was not a spontaneous prayer. It was…

Made Holy Once for All Time

“For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.” – Hebrews 10:10 NLT

There are few verses in the Bible that express the heart of God’s plan as clearly and beautifully as this one. It reveals both the purpose of God’s will and the completeness of Christ’s work on the cross.

1. God’s Will Has Always Been Our Holiness

From the beginning,…

#Lo stato finale/The final state

“Rimanere in silenzio senza pensieri è il Tutto.Rimanere senza pensieri è Nishta (permanere in ferma meditazione).Rimanere senza pensieri è Jnana (saggezza).Rimanere senza pensieri è Moksha (liberazione).Rimanere senza pensieri è sahaja (spontaneità).Perciò, lo stato senza nessuna traccia di pensiero è lo Stato Finale di Completezza!”

Being Complete

There is a contrast between our first reading and the gospel. In the first reading (Genesis 18:1–15) Abraham is praised for his generous hospitality to the three visitors who are often interpreted as angels or a theophany of God. In the gospel (Luke 10:38–42), Martha is busy serving Jesus but is gently corrected for being “anxious and worried” rather than sitting and listening to the Lord like…

Casually going through my AO3 profile and posting and backdating a wrestling story that I wrote over a decade ago and never finished. Totally normal behavior.

That makes 70 works, not 69. But I’m an adult, so that’s just a number (for real though).

You Are Complete In Jesus - Colossians 2:10 KJV

https://www.upliftingchrist.net/colossians-2-verse-10-kjv

He is the head of all principality and power. In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

Therefore, today as it was in Paul’s time, no one should beguile us with enticing words;

spoil us through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world and not of Christ.

Nothing Compares 🩵🪽

No person, place, or thing that brings you happiness can compare to the joy from Self that comes from within once you let go. The feeling is truly inexplicable. I guess Wholeness and Completeness are the best words I can use to describe it.

You realize that no matter what you experience it is all the same. That everything is equal because everything is only one Being. In the eyes of God, all stories and characters are equal. It’s beautiful when you can watch life like a movie and even the thoughts are just the movie character’s.

Every human being is searching for Wholeness although most think it is inside the world instead of right within their hearts. No matter how much we attain, if we don’t realize we are already whole, we will never be satisfied because every human being is trying to become one with everything. Lay down your weapons, take a leap of faith, and surrender to the One that is already everything.

Your mind wants objects, but your heart wants peace.

I Separated From Nina Gray

My decision to separate from Nina feels both distant and immediate. It’s unreal but painfully real, so close yet so far away. Lately, I’ve been feeling like I’m hitting rock bottom, even reaching seriously suicidal lows. Yesterday was particularly rough—the ER called me, and I had to reassure them that I’m getting the help I need. It was terrifying; the ER always scares me.

Today is better. I’m…

Now I seem to have a center, but did not before. More important, I see this as being ensouled. The work has reached its end, suddenly, by an act of God; the person has been searching for his missing parts (i.e., his soul) throughout all time and everywhere, with the possibility that the person may — on his own — never be complete. I consider this search for one’s soul as the modern way of viewing redemption from bondage to sin, enslavement, or as I speak of it, machine-level consciousness.

#DailyDevotion Christ Is Complete In His Suffering

#DailyDevotion Christ Is Complete In His Suffering

#DailyDevotion Christ Is Complete In His Suffering

Heb. 2:8 …As it is, we do not yet see everything put under Him. 9But we do see Jesus, Who for a little while was made lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death in order by God’s grace to taste death for everyone. 10It fitted Him well, for Whom and by Whom everything exists, that in bringing many sons to glory He should make the One Who gives them salvation perfect through suffering.

We confess the belief Jesus is seated at the right hand of Majesty. It is an article of faith. Hence the author says, “we do not yet see everything put under Him.” The author will later bring up the theme of what faith is. We may look at the world and think God and His Christ are not in control. If They exist, They don’t seem to be doing anything about the current ills in the world. There are things we do not see nor understand the outcome. But we also know by faith, “We know that God works all things out for good for those who love God, who are called according to His plan.” (Rom. 8:28)

But we do see Jesus now crowned with glory and honor. The apostles saw Jesus ascend to the right hand of God. He recalls the Psalms claim, “was made lower than the angels,” but “now crowned with glory and honor.” He is crowned with honor and glory because He suffered death. He suffered our death. He tasted death for everyone, that means you. It was God’s grace that He suffered death for you. If Jesus has suffered death then He has also given us the life of God. This too is God’s grace. He willingly gave up Himself and everything He had or was there on the cross so we may become heirs of God and coheirs with Christ. You no longer have to fear death or dying for Christ has removed from us the sting and taste of death. The grave is now our portal to be in the presence of our heavenly Father.

While the Father made everything by and through Jesus Christ in eternity, everything that exists exists for Him and by Him. We are not our own. We were bought with the blood of Christ. It is He who brought many sons to glory. It is as John says in his Gospel ch. 1, “12But to all who welcomed Him, who believe in His name, He gave the right to become God’s children. 13They have been born, not of the blood of parents, nor of a sexual desire, nor of a man’s desire, but of God.” We are “born from above” through the “water and the Spirit.” We are brought to glory through hearing the Good News of Jesus’ death and resurrection for us. Jesus gives us His salvation. It is a gift but it is not free. It is free to us. Jesus paid the price for us. He is the author and leader of salvation. God made Him perfect or rather complete through suffering. Of course, Jesus is perfect and complete according to His divine nature. Jesus is complete according to His human nature only when He had been tested in the wilderness by the devil, suffered under him through the hands of Jews and Romans, and tasted death for us. As Jesus proclaims from the cross, “It is finished,” He is made complete, perfect. Jesus tells us there in John 19:30, “tetelestai” and here in Hebrews He is, “teleowsai.” It is through suffering, through participating in Christ’s sufferings (2 Cor. 1) the Father perfects and completes our faith. He purifies it and makes it worth more than gold which perishes.

Gracious God and Father, You make such a great salvation for us through Jesus Christ and His suffering. Grant us faith to recognize our suffering as a participation in His passion so we may rejoice in His glory when it is revealed to us on the Last Day. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
