One of my 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦 thoughts✨

You are about to see an electron that is now both on the right and on the left. How much probability is there that the electron is on the right?

  • Principle of Indifference if I have no specific reasons to believe that the electron prefers the right over the left, then the probabilities must be equal
  • Wavefunction collapse You are about to look, so the magic ends and the particle must necessarily be in only one place

So the answer is 50%

NOTE: the moment you look, the probability becomes either 100% or 0%!

Scientists confirm one-dimensional electron behavior in phosphorus chains

Researchers at BESSY II have, for the first time, experimentally confirmed that a material can exhibit truly one-dimensional electronic properties. The team studied short chains of phosphorus atoms that naturally arrange themselves at specific angles on a silver surface. By applying advanced measurement and analysis techniques, they separated the signals coming from chains aligned in different…

You have no idea how much I hate Electron.

I want a native application, not a glorified web browser. I don’t want the overhead of a fucking web browser eating into my computer’s resources. Why the fuck does VS code need to be a web browser?

electron and Tahoe and a temporary fix

If your Tahoe mac is causing a system wide lag, there’s a known issue with Electron and Mac OS Tahoe. By now a lot of the usual suspects have issued a fix – https://avarayr.github.io/shamelectron/

However, a big hold up still seems to be Cursor. Here’s a script you can run to detect which apps in your system still has an issue: https://github.com/tkafka/detect-electron-apps-on-mac/tree/main

Building Beyond the Browser: Electron’s Future

Every so often, a conversation completely reframes how you see something you thought you understood. That’s what happened when Kedasha Kerr and I sat down with Keeley Hammond, a longtime maintainer of the Electron Project. As the technology landscape evolves, understanding frameworks like Electron becomes increasingly vital for developers.
Over the past 15 years I’ve been in the open source…

Scalable entanglement of nuclear spins mediated by electron exchange - New Study

Science, Volume 389, Issue 6766, Page 1234-1238, September 2025.
Summary

Unfortunately, without specific content from the indicated issue of Science, I can only offer a generic summary.
Assuming the content is within the typical scope of Science magazine, the September 2025 issue (Volume 389, Issue 6766, Pages 1234-1238) likely presents cutting-edge research in a scientific field. The article…
