I love how many Bella Swan moments are in Young Dracula. First with Vlad and Robin when Robin’s first response to finding out Vlad’s a vampire is to offer up his neck. And then Jono’s love at first slomo sight when Ingrid walks into the school🤭

An occurring nightmare I have is that one day the BBC will knock on my door to arrest me for not having a TV licence while using BBC Iplayer, and then they ban me from entering the UK for life.

I am not in the UK, I don’t know how they’d catch me. Still, every time I go to make a BBC Iplayer account and they ask me for the TV licence, I have a panic attack and close the website.

Supertato: Comforting Caulilini

  • (Opens up to the Tato Tower exterior at nighttime in the supermarket)
  • Narrator: “Attention, super viewers! It’s nighttime in the supermarket and our Tato Team is getting ready for a sleepover with a super special guest coming over tonight!”
  • (Cut to the Tato Tower interior where Supertato and his friends Carrot, Broccoli, who is especially excited, Chilli and Tomato getting ready for a sleepover in their sleepwear; Supertato is wearing short sleeve glow in the dark star print pajamas with his black mask, bright red cape, Tato-Belt, orange gloves and dark red boots, Carrot is wearing a green oversized t-shirt with dark purple leggings underneath, Broccoli is wearing sparkly disco ball pajamas, Chilli is wearing a black flame print tank top and yellow shorts and Tomato is wearing tie-dye bright green long sleeve pajamas)
  • Broccoli: “Oh, I’m so excited to introduce you all to my cousin, Caulilini. She’s a little shy, but she’s such a sweetheart once you all get to know her better!”
  • (Supertato, Carrot, Chilli and Tomato are amazed by what Broccoli told them)
  • Supertato: “Wow, I didn’t know you had a cousin, Broccoli.”
  • (the doorbell rings, signifying Caulilini’s arrival as Broccoli heads outside, where she sees her wise Uncle Cauliflower with his daughter, Caulilini beside him, carrying her floral print overnight bag with her)
  • Broccoli: (Excitedly) “Caulilini! You’re here!”
  • (Broccoli rushes over and gives Caulilini a big hug and Caulilini shyly hugs back)
  • Uncle Cauliflower: (Smiling kindly) “Broccoli, could you make her feel comfortable around your friends? She’s a little sensitive.”
  • Broccoli: (Beaming) “No problem, Uncle Cauliflower. I promise I’ll take good care of her and help her feel welcome here.”
  • Uncle Cauliflower: “Thanks, Broccoli. You’re such a helpful girl.” (gently walks over to Caulilini) “Oh and before I go, I wrote you a letter for you to read before bedtime.” (he gives Caulilini an envelope holding a letter inside that she places into a pocket in front of her overnight bag before he turns and waves farewell to Broccoli and Caulilini) “Bye, girls.”
  • (Uncle Cauliflower leaves the girls alone for a while and Broccoli, full of energy, gently takes Caulilini’s hand)
  • Broccoli: “Why don’t you come on in to Tato Tower? I can’t wait for you to meet everybody, especially Supertato! He’s always saving the supermarket from Evil Pea! But he’s not the only one, of course. That’s why he and his sidekick Carrot are best friends. You know, she’s really smart since she’s always tinkering and fixing anything and everything, plus she’s super fast. And there’s me, your bubbly older cousin. I love dancing. Hey, maybe I can teach you dancing if you’d like. We can’t forget about Chilli, he gets hot when he’s upset, but loves being in a good mood and our favorite fruit Tomato. He’s shy, just like you and he’s nervous and easily scared, but he can actually be really brave when the time is right for him to be so.”
  • (Caulilini hides slightly behind Broccoli as we cut back to the Tato Tower interior Supertato, Carrot, Chilli, and Tomato are gathered, chatting. They look up as the cousins enter)
  • Broccoli: “I’m back, everyone! I told you that I wanted to introduce you to Caulilini.” (Encouragingly to Caulilini) “Come on, Caulilini. Don’t be shy, they’re super friendly!”
  • (Caulilini slowly peeks out from behind Broccoli. She grips her floral print overnight bag. She takes a few small, slow steps forward.)
  • Broccoli: “Good girl! Why don’t you say hi?”
  • Caulilini: (Very soft-spoken, shyly) “Hi.”
  • Supertato: (cooing) “Awww! Welcome to Tato Tower, Caulilini.”
  • (He offers his hand. Caulilini, after a moment of hesitation, gently shakes it)
  • Carrot: “Make yourself at home! You’re gonna love all the fun activities we have planned!”
  • Chilli: “Hiya, Caulilini. Great to have ya here.” (winks at Caulini, who blushes slightly and giggles softly, charmed by his smooth move)
  • Tomato: (cooing) “You’re so cute!” (he gently hugs Caulilini, making her giggle once again as she returns the hug before they both gently pull away from the hug)
  • Caulilini: “You don’t mind seeing what I brought, do you?”
  • Broccoli: “Go ahead. You’re among friends.”
  • (Caulilini unpacks her floral print overnight bag, revealing that she brought her pearly white teddy bear, her butterfly print sleeping bag, a pearlescent toothbrush, a tube of sparkly light green toothpaste, dental floss, aluminum-free antiperspirant floral deodorant, hand sanitizer, tissues, facial wipes, violet scented hand lotion, vanilla flavored lip balm, a few nail polish bottles, her daisy shaped folding hairbrush, her lavender butterfly print pajamas and Uncle Cauliflower’s letter for her to read before bedtime)
  • Caulilini: (shyly) “I hope you like what I brought to your sleepover.”
  • Supertato: “Sweet potatoes! This is amazing, Caulilini! We love your sleepover stuff, especially your cute pearly white teddy bear.”
  • (Caulilini gently hugs her teddy bear hearing what Supertato told her)
  • Caulilini: “Thanks, Supertato. Her name’s Pearl. Her fur matches my florets and she’s just as excited to meet you all.”
  • Supertato: “Nice to meet you, Pearl!” (he gently shakes her plush paw) “I’m Supertato and these are my friends Carrot, Broccoli, Chilli and Tomato.”
  • Carrot: “Welcome to Tato Tower, Pearl!”
  • Broccoli: (cooing) “Aww, aren’t you adorable?”
  • Chilli: “I’ve never been more happy to meet ya.”
  • Tomato: (squealing) “So precious!”
  • Caulilini: “Thanks, Tomato. I’ll go with Broccoli and she’ll help me change into my pajamas while the rest of you wait, okay?”
  • Supertato: “Well, okay, then, Caulilini. It won’t be long.”
  • (Broccoli and Caulilini go into the former’s bedroom as Broccoli helps Caulilini into her lavender butterfly print pajamas)
  • Broccoli: “Aww, look at you! You look adorable in your pajamas!”
  • Caulilini: (giggles) “Thanks, Broccoli. I really like your pajamas, too.”
  • (The two cousins come back to the main hall, delighting the others.)
  • Supertato: “Look at those cute pajamas!”
  • Broccoli: “I’m glad you like them as much as me!”
  • (The gang spends the evening together. They play various board games, leading to friendly competition and laughter. Later, the girls—Carrot, Broccoli, and Caulilini—sit at a small table for a makeover session. They use child-safe, veggie-friendly nail polish and hair accessories.)
  • Carrot: “You’re a natural at braiding, Caulilini!”
  • Caulilini: (shyly) “Thanks, Carrot. My cousin Broccoli taught me how to do it.”
  • (Meanwhile, the boys—Supertato, Chilli, and Tomato—are engrossed in a fast-paced video game, cheering wildly. After makeovers, Broccoli teaches Caulilini some dance moves to upbeat music in the main hall. Caulilini is a quick learner and starts to let loose, her shyness fading. They all settle down for a movie night with popcorn. During the film, Caulilini develops a little crush on a cute male character onscreen.)
  • Tomato: (Whispering to Chilli) “Look at her!”
  • Chilli: (Teasing gently) “Ooh, someone has a crush!”
  • (Caulilini blushes bright red, giggling despite her embarrassment. She’s feeling comfortable and happy around her new friends.)
  • Supertato: (Smiling) “Alright, it’s getting late. Time for bed. But first, let’s capture this memory! Who wants to do a group photo?”
  • (Supertato gathers everyone around: Carrot, Broccoli, Caulilini (holding Pearl), Chilli, and Tomato huddle together, grinning widely for a group selfie and bedtime is officially here as everyone is tucked in, nice and comfy including Caulilini, who is tucked into her sleeping bag next to Broccoli’s as Broccoli herself is also already tucked in, looking over as Caulilini opens up the envelope where Uncle Cauliflower’s letter is inside. It reads “Dear Caulilini, I hope you’re having a great time at Tato Tower. I just wanted to let you know how much I miss and love you. See you soon, sweetheart. Love, Dad. P.S. My niece loves you, too.” and as the last line is read, her eyes begin to water before she quickly wipes them away, not wanting Broccoli to see her cry as she turns to her with a shy smile.)
  • Caulini: (Whispering) “Goodnight, Broccoli.”
  • Broccoli: (Whispering back) “Goodnight, Caulilini! Sleep tight!”
  • (Silence for a beat. Caulilini shifts, hugging her teddy bear very tight before tears well up in her eyes. The tears begin to fall, rolling down her cheeks and soaking the envelope she still clutches. She starts to cry softly, holding Pearl the teddy bear tighter. Her soft cries wake up Broccoli, who is in her own sleeping bag next to her. Broccoli sits up, instantly concerned to see her older cousin in tears)
  • Broccoli: (Gently) “Caulilini, what’s wrong? Are you homesick?”
  • (Caulilini nods, her small body trembling slightly as she holds her bear closer.)
  • Caulilini: (Sniffling) “I miss home and my dad.”
  • (Broccoli gently pulls Caulilini closer to her for a comforting hug as she gently strokes her florets)
  • Broccoli: (Soothingly) “Oh, sweetpea, it’s okay. I know it’s hard being away from home the first time. But I’m right here and so are Supertato, Carrot, Chilli and Tomato. I promise we’ll keep you safe all night long. Want me to sing you a song? It always makes me feel better.”
  • (Caulilini nods, sniffling less now. Broccoli gently pulls away from the hug, gets out her bass guitar, takes a deep breath and begins to sing Dance Your Tears Away)
  • 🎵When the sun goes down and the moon takes its place and the stars come out shining on your face🎵
  • 🎵There’s a little girl who is just like you
  • She’s a bit shy, but wants to make friends too🎵
  • 🎵There’s no need to cry when I’m by your side🎵
  • 🎵Let the music flow in the gentle night, where the fireflies shine bright and moonbeams glow🎵
  • 🎵You’ll be a-okay
  • Dance your tears away🎵
  • 🎵You know that I love you and all my friends do, too🎵
  • 🎵We think you’re perfect just the way you are, yeah🎵
  • 🎵I’ll always lift you up and never bring you down🎵
  • 🎵Don’t be sad today
  • Dance your tears away🎵
  • 🎵Like a butterfly, watch your worries fly in a sleepy sky in a lullaby🎵
  • 🎵Close your little eyes, let the dream begin Feel the quiet peace, feel the love within🎵
  • 🎵Let your homesickness fade away from view🎵
  • 🎵Rest your heart, sweetpea with a friend so true🎵
  • 🎵You are safe and sound with such love around🎵
  • 🎵You’ll be a-okay
  • Dance your tears away🎵
  • (2x) 🎵You know that I love you and all my friends do, too🎵
  • 🎵We think you’re perfect just the way you are, yeah🎵
  • 🎵I’ll always lift you up and never bring you down🎵
  • 🎵Don’t be sad today
  • Dance your tears away🎵
  • (The song ends on a soft, lingering note. Caulilini lets out a content sigh, her grip on her teddy bear loosening slightly as she lies back down. Broccoli quietly puts her bass guitar away and makes sure Caulilini is tucked in securely)
  • Broccoli: (softly) “Feeling better from your homesickness, sweetie?”
  • Caulilini: “Mmm-hmm.”
  • Broccoli: (Whispering) “That’s a relief. Sweet dreams, Caulilini.”
  • (Broccoli then plants a soft kiss on her younger cousin’s forehead and Caulilini drifts off to sleep, a peaceful smile gracing her lips as she lies down right beside her, close enough to provide comfort and safety throughout the night, her heart full of love for her sweet, shy cousin)

Supertato: Say Uncle

  • (Opens up in the supermarket on a beautiful sunny morning as we see Broccoli’s wise Uncle Cauliflower get into Tato Tower)
  • Narrator: “Attention, super viewers! It’s a beautiful sunny morning in the supermarket and it sounds like someone’s here to visit Tato Tower.”
  • Uncle Cauliflower: “This must be the place.” (hears music coming from the Tato Tower bathroom) “And it sounds like my niece is having some “me time.” I’ve got no choice but to check in on her to see how she’s doing.”
  • (Cut to the Tato Tower bathroom where we see Broccoli taking a bubble bath, wearing a veggie-friendly bath towel wrap to keep her florets safe and surrounded by small waterproof battery powered candles and flower petals and listening to the same music on her waterproof headphones when the door opens offscreen, surprising her)
  • Uncle Cauliflower: (offscreen) “Hey, Broccoli! Mind if I pop in? I was hoping I’d see you again.”
  • (As soon as Broccoli heard her wise uncle’s voice, she felt surprised and a little embarrassed as she slowly sank into the bubbles up to her neck)
  • Broccoli: “Oh! Hi, Uncle Cauliflower!” (nervously giggles) “I wasn’t expecting you to come visit me.” (sinks further into the bubbles as her eyes now become visible above the water and lets out another nervous, but this time bubbly, underwater giggle as bubbles escape her submerged lips)
  • Uncle Cauliflower: “Awww. I embarrassed you a little, didn’t I?” (he gently looks over his niece over the edge of the bathtub) “Hey. It’s okay, Broccoli. What matters is I’m just so happy to see my niece after all those times.”
  • (Taking the interruption well, Broccoli rises out of the bubbles with a smile on her face)
  • Broccoli: “You’re right, Uncle Cauliflower! It was a while since we were last seen together!”
  • (They both share a hug as Supertato, Carrot, Chilli and Tomato arrive in the bathroom, happy to see the uncle and niece duo reunite at last)
  • Supertato: “Hey, Broccoli! Didn’t mean to interrupt your bath.” (notices Broccoli’s wise Uncle Cauliflower live and in person and gasps with joy) “Is this your wise Uncle Cauliflower?”
  • Uncle Cauliflower: “It’s me, alright!” (turns back to Broccoli) “Hey, aren’t you gonna introduce me to your friends?”
  • Broccoli: “Oh, sure! Let me just finish up my bubble bath real quick.” (draws back the curtains to finish her bubble bath as she rinses the soap off herself and dries off with a towel before coming out all dry) “I’m finished, Uncle Cauliflower!” (gestures to Supertato) “This is Supertato! He’s the hero of the supermarket as everyone already knows.”
  • Supertato: “Hello, Cauliflower! It’s great to meet you.”
  • Uncle Cauliflower: “And it sure is great to meet a hero like you, Supertato.”
  • (Broccoli gestures to Carrot)
  • Broccoli: “This is Carrot! She’s his best friend and sidekick.”
  • Carrot: “Hi, Cauliflower! It’s so exciting to see a relative of our friend.”
  • Uncle Cauliflower: “Hey, Carrot. I’m just as excited to meet you in person.”
  • (Broccoli gestures to Chilli)
  • Broccoli: “This is Chilli! He’s usually cool, but he can get hot and unleash his chilli heat when he’s upset.”
  • Chilli: “Hiya! I’ve never been more happy to meet you.”
  • Uncle Cauliflower: “You and me both, Chilli.”
  • (Broccoli gestures to Tomato)
  • Broccoli: “And this is Tomato! He’s actually a fruit, but he doesn’t mind if we see him as one of the veggies.”
  • Tomato: “Great to meet you.”
  • Uncle Cauliflower: “It’s great to meet you, too. By the way, I’ve got a surprise for you.”
  • (Uncle Cauliflower shows everyone a DVD with home movies that he made himself before he inserted the disc into the Tato Tower’s DVD/Blu-Ray combo player in the control panel as everyone gathers around to watch. The home video starts with baby Broccoli saying her first words and taking her first steps before we see her meeting Supertato, Carrot, Chilli and Tomato as kids in the supermarket. Then, we see her birthday parties with kid versions of her friends Supertato, Carrot, Chilli and Tomato celebrating with her along with her uncle, her first beach day, her first hair salon appointment, her first Halloween, where she was dressed as a mermaid, her first Christmas, her first snow day, her first Valentine’s Day, her first Easter, her first school dance where young Broccoli wowed the other kids with her Broccoli Boogie, including Supertato, Carrot, Chilli and Tomato as they joined her in the dance, her first school musical and their first day of school together. We also see her moments with her musically talented Aunt Broccoflower, welcoming her shy and soft-spoken but sweet younger cousin Caulilini to the family when she was a baby, their family campout in the plant aisle, mom and daughter quality time together with her two moms Brocco-Mum and Mumma Broccoli and her first live concert with her uncle as it all especially leads to Uncle Cauliflower’s favorite moment where young Broccoli was participating in her first supermarket talent show where she sang one of her favorite songs, which was the one that Broccoli herself found so nostalgic that she sang along to the song her young self sang as her eyes welled up with tears of joy, much to the initial concern of Supertato, Carrot, Chilli, Tomato and Uncle Cauliflower)
  • Uncle Cauliflower: “Hey, are you alright? You’re not sad, are you?”
  • Broccoli: (sniffles) “Of course not, Uncle Cauliflower. I was just so happy singing that song onstage.”
  • Uncle Cauliflower: “You weren’t the only one.”
  • (Suddenly, the screen goes black, much to everyone’s surprise as they a familiar cackle before turning around to see Evil Pea, who stole the DVD)
  • Evil Pea: “Surprise, nitwits!”
  • Broccoli: “Pea!”
  • Uncle Cauliflower: “What do you think you’re doing with my home video?”
  • Evil Pea: “It’s Evil Pea and you know I hate nostalgic moments. Now that I’ve got this home video, it’s time I take it with me and break it, so there’s no way you’ll play it again!” (giggles mischievously and runs out of Tato Tower)
  • Supertato: “Muddy spuds! We’ve got to get it back and fast! Are you with us, Cauliflower?”
  • Uncle Cauliflower: “You bet I am! Come on, everybody! Let’s get my home video back!”
  • Supertato: “That’s the spirit! To the Tatocar, veggies!”
  • (Cut to the Tato Tower garage as they get onboard the Tatocar and leave the garage, kickstarting a high-speed chase across the supermarket as they catch up to Evil Pea in the tech aisle where she’s cornered by Uncle Cauliflower and the Tato Team, the former who gently takes the home video back from her)
  • Evil Pea: “Oh, come on! I was going to break it.”
  • Supertato: “So what? Taking and breaking others’ belongings is just mean. Aren’t you ever gonna learn not to steal others’ belongings?”
  • Broccoli: “You should just listen to what others have to say before you use their belongings like asking first.”
  • Evil Pea: “I’m not listening and I’m not learning anything.” (she gets a kiss on the cheek from Broccoli, making her blush) “Except that love for family and friends is rather nice compared to stealing and damaging someone else’s belongings.”
  • Supertato: “See, Pea? I knew you’d listen to others and learn your lesson about stealing and family.”
  • Evil Pea: “I told you, it’s Evil Pea! And I’ll beat you next time, Supertato! And you too, Cauliflower!”
  • (Evil Pea marches back to her freezer as Broccoli waves goodbye to her before Uncle Cauliflower and the Tato Team get back onboard the Tatocar with the retrieved home video and drive back to Tato Tower before the next scene cuts back to the main room where they finish watching the home video and cheer for a blushing Broccoli)
  • Uncle Cauliflower: “Hey, I know what you told Pea about listening to what others have to say before you use their belongings like asking first.”
  • Broccoli: “Yeah. That was just me being nice, wasn’t it? I was really looking forward to seeing you again as much as we let you help us stop her from wrecking your home movie.”
  • Uncle Cauliflower: “I’m so proud of you and your friends. You really saved my home movie back there.”
  • (He hugs his niece as she blushes deeper and hugs him back, much to Supertato’s delight and Tomato’s cute squealing)
  • Uncle Cauliflower: “You see what I mean? Could there really be a better uncle and niece duo than us?”
  • Broccoli: “No, Uncle Cauliflower! We make such a great team!”
  • (She giggles and the uncle and niece duo both flash their winning smiles at the end)
