day (3/100) days of productivity - October 17th
today was an actual mess since I had to prepare for my 2 hour long 20% physics mid-term. it was also happening at 7pm so I didn’t go to class during the day since I’d be too exhausted for it (12 hours on campus is simply unreasonable) and despite the guilt, I’m glad I did that! definitely working on counter-acting the mean voices in my head but hey, it’s a journey! my mid-term was unfortunately very difficult, two of the questions asked us to calculate the gravity/speeds of moving objects on alien planets with weird names. there’s also always the mental turmoil of “is this a trick question?” in Physics. oh well! here’s to better luck next time :) at least the girl who made my coffee wrote my name very prettily. you win some, you lose some.
here’s my quote of the day:
“The wound can have (should only have) just one proper name. I recognize that I love - you - by this: you leave in me a wound I do not want to replace.”
— Jacques Derrida, from The Postcard: from Socrates to Freud and Beyond (trans. Alan Bass).
