“To be fair, I can understand why the heroes just dipped when they saw that the PLF had a near-limitless army, Tomura had become pretty much a physical god, and then AFO and his jailbreak army joined them… yeah.”

Analysis of the Black Regiment Advisers in My Hero Academia

The Black Regiment Advisers are key figures within the Vanguard Action Tactics Regiment: Black, a tactical support unit of the Paranormal Liberation Front (PLF) in My Hero Academia, as introduced in Chapter 258. This group, led by Twice and integrated with the Meta Liberation Army (MLA) after its merger with the League of Villains, provides strategic and operational support to other PLF regiments (Violet, Carmine, Brown). The advisers—Sanctum, Twice’s #2 Adviser, and Twice’s #3 Adviser—are high-ranking members whose roles, characteristics, and contributions shape the PLF’s early efforts in the Paranormal Liberation War. Below is a detailed analysis of the group and its members, based on canon sources and the provided TV Tropes data, organized into bullet points for clarity.

  • Overview of the Black Regiment Advisers
  • Role in PLF: The Black Regiment serves as the tactical backbone, supporting the Violet (raid), Carmine (intelligence), and Brown (support) regiments. The advisers are senior strategists under Twice, ensuring cohesion and loyalty within the unit, which is critical given Twice’s perceived status as a “Puppet King” appointed post-merger.
  • Context in Chapter 258: Introduced during Hawks’ infiltration of the PLF, the advisers are revealed as part of his intelligence-gathering on the organization’s structure. Their debut coincides with preparations for the PLF’s nationwide attack on hero society, highlighting their strategic importance.
  • Narrative Significance: The advisers represent the MLA’s experienced leadership, contrasting with the League’s chaotic villainy. Their participation in the Paranormal Liberation War’s opening at Gunga Mountain Villa underscores their role in direct confrontation with heroes.
  • Sanctum
  • Profile:
  • Debut: Chapter 258 (Manga).
  • Quirk: Unknown.
  • Appearance: Fair skin, dark-black eyes, and a seasoned demeanor, reflecting his long tenure in the MLA.
  • Role: #1 ranked adviser, described as the longest-serving MLA member, providing veteran leadership to the Black Regiment.
  • Characteristics:
  • Evil Chancellor Trope: Acts as a senior counselor to Twice but shows no ambition to usurp him, focusing instead on maintaining regiment loyalty. This suggests a pragmatic loyalty to the PLF’s broader goals over personal power.
  • Strategic Importance: His experience makes him a stabilizing force, critical for managing Twice’s unit, which includes members skeptical of Twice’s leadership due to his League origins.
  • Actions and Impact:
  • Participated in the Paranormal Liberation War’s initial clash at Gunga Mountain Villa, confronting heroes alongside other advisers.
  • His long MLA history implies deep knowledge of its ideology (liberation through quirk freedom), likely guiding tactical decisions to align with Re-Destro’s vision.
  • Outcome unclear; no explicit mention of capture or defeat, suggesting possible survival or escape post-villa battle, though not confirmed in manga.
  • Thematic Role: Represents the MLA’s enduring legacy within the PLF, bridging its ideological roots with the League’s destructive aims. His lack of overt ambition contrasts with typical villain archetypes, emphasizing duty over ego.
  • Twice’s #2 Adviser (Pilot Adviser)
  • Profile:
  • Debut: Chapter 258 (Manga).
  • Quirk: Unnamed Heteromorphic Quirk, manifesting as a monstrous purple appearance, possibly enhancing physical or sensory abilities.
  • Appearance: A towering, purple-skinned figure in a pilot-esque uniform, with eyes obscured by a hat, enhancing his menacing presence.
  • Role: #2 ranked adviser, supporting Twice in tactical operations and engaging in direct combat during the war.
  • Characteristics:
  • Adaptational Expansion: The anime highlights his Heteromorphic identity during Skeptic’s speech, noting his grudge against hero society’s systemic bias against Heteromorphs, adding depth to his motivations.
  • Eye-Obscuring Hat: His pilot hat covering potential eyes adds a mysterious, intimidating aesthetic, aligning with his villainous role.
  • Actions and Impact:
  • Fought in the Paranormal Liberation War’s opening at Gunga Mountain Villa, part of the adviser group challenging heroes.
  • Per anime expansion, he escapes the villa during Skeptic’s rallying speech, suggesting resilience or strategic retreat.
  • His Heteromorphic Quirk likely contributed to physical confrontations, though specific feats are not detailed in the manga.
  • Thematic Role: Embodies the societal resentment of Heteromorphs, a recurring MHA theme (e.g., Spinner’s arc). His survival in the anime hints at potential for future roles, though the manga leaves this ambiguous.
  • Twice’s #3 Adviser (Pink Elderly Adviser)
  • Profile:
  • Debut: Chapter 258 (Manga).
  • Quirk: Unknown.
  • Appearance: Small, elderly woman with pink hair and a bindi, resembling a “classic granny” archetype.
  • Role: #3 ranked adviser, assisting in tactical coordination and engaging in the war’s initial battles.
  • Characteristics:
  • Granny Classic Trope: Her kindly appearance contrasts sharply with her villainous role, subverting expectations of an elderly figure as a threat.
  • Ambiguously Related: Shares pink hair and bindi with Geten’s #2 Adviser (Violet Regiment), hinting at possible familial ties, though unconfirmed.
  • Actions and Impact:
  • Joined advisers in the Gunga Mountain Villa battle against heroes during the Paranormal Liberation War’s outset.
  • No specific actions detailed; her role likely involved support or coordination, given her lower rank and lack of noted combat feats.
  • Outcome unclear; no mention of capture or death, leaving her fate ambiguous post-villa conflict.
  • Thematic Role: Her design plays on MHA’s subversion of appearances (e.g., harmless-looking characters with dark roles). The potential link to Geten’s adviser suggests deeper MLA connections, possibly familial loyalty to the cause.
  • Group Dynamics and Strategy
  • Cohesion and Loyalty: The advisers’ primary role is to maintain unity in the Black Regiment, countering distrust in Twice’s leadership due to his League background. Sanctum’s seniority ensures ideological alignment, while #2 and #3 provide diverse perspectives (Heteromorphic resentment and subtle menace).
  • Tactical Support: As the Black Regiment supports other PLF units, the advisers likely oversee logistics, strategy, and morale, enabling coordinated attacks across Violet’s raids, Carmine’s intelligence, and Brown’s support. Their presence in the villa battle suggests combat readiness, though their specific contributions are less detailed than Twice’s cloning or Dabi’s firepower.
  • Hawks’ Intelligence: Hawks’ month-long infiltration reveals the advisers’ roles, highlighting their significance in PLF’s structure. His ability to map the regiment without detection underscores their underestimation of his cunning, a critical PLF weakness.
  • Thematic Significance
  • Diversity of Villainy: The advisers reflect MHA’s nuanced villain portrayals—Sanctum’s duty-driven pragmatism, #2’s societal grievance, and #3’s deceptive appearance contrast with the League’s raw chaos (e.g., Dabi, Toga). This showcases the PLF’s blend of MLA’s structured ideology and League’s anarchic energy.
  • Systemic Critique: The #2 Adviser’s Heteromorphic grudge ties to MHA’s exploration of societal discrimination, paralleling Spinner’s arc and reinforcing the PLF’s appeal to marginalized groups.
  • Subversion of Tropes: The group subverts expectations—Sanctum avoids the “scheming chancellor” cliché, #2’s monstrous form hides deeper motives, and #3’s granny aesthetic masks villainy, aligning with MHA’s theme of deceptive appearances.
  • Outcomes and Legacy
  • Paranormal Liberation War: The advisers confront heroes at Gunga Mountain Villa, but their impact is overshadowed by major players (e.g., Tomura, Dabi). The anime suggests #2 escapes, but manga leaves all three’s fates unclear, implying capture or retreat.
  • Narrative Role: Their brief appearance in Chapter 258 serves to flesh out PLF’s structure and Hawks’ espionage, setting up the war’s stakes. Their limited screen time reflects their supporting role compared to Twice’s emotional arc or Tomura’s dominance.
  • Speculative Future: The ambiguous fates (especially #2’s anime escape) and potential ties (e.g., #3 and Geten’s adviser) suggest possible minor roles if MHA revisits surviving PLF members, though no current canon confirms this.
  • Critical Notes
  • Source Limitations: Chapter 258 and related wiki entries provide most details, but the advisers’ quirks (except #2’s Heteromorphic trait) and post-war fates remain vague, limiting deeper analysis.
  • Contextual Relevance: Unlike Yuga Aoyama or the U.A. spies, the advisers are not directly tied to All For One’s espionage but serve his PLF agenda. Their roles align more with MLA’s legacy than AFO’s personal schemes.
  • Substantiation: Claims are grounded in manga Chapter 258, wiki data, and TV Tropes insights, with no reliance on unverified X posts. The group’s minor but strategic role is consistent with PLF’s broader threat.

Bottom Line: The Black Regiment Advisers—Sanctum, Twice’s #2, and Twice’s #3—are a compact but pivotal group within the PLF, embodying tactical expertise, societal grievances, and deceptive appearances. Their support for Twice and involvement in the Paranormal Liberation War highlight the PLF’s organized threat, though their limited manga focus and ambiguous fates position them as secondary players in MHA’s narrative. Their diversity and ties to MLA ideology enrich the story’s exploration of villain motivations and societal flaws.

my valentines day hc for the LOV (idc if its march, shut up)

on valentines day the league spends the majotiry of it shopping, cooking and making crafts for their lover, around 8 pm they all gather in the common room to watch a movie.

the movie they pick is a weird romance-horror combo, like Heart Eyes (i think, i havent watched it). shigaraki and dabi are dating and they take up the whole couch. dabi is pretty much in shigs lap, and they are teasing and whispering to each other the entire time, not paying attention to the movie at all. the others do their best to ignore them (get a room you two). they barely make it an hour into the movie before theyre heading to shigarakis room. the others make a mental note to wear ear plugs to bed. (im so sorry guys)

toga and ochako are on the floor on a fluffy nest made out of pillows and blankets. theyre cuddling and whispering, but they are actually talking about the movie. they make it through most of the movie, only leaving to go to togas room, when the climax (OF THE MOVIE) is over. (please note that they are minors so they dont do anything naughty, just some kisses)

compress and kurogiri are on a loveseat and compress has an arm around kurogiri, theyre talking a little bit, but mostly just watching the movie. they watch the entire movie and when its over they go into the kitchen so kuro can clean the bar and compress can make a meal for them. at the end of their night, they go their separate ways… till compress sighs and pulls kurogiri to his room.

twice and spinner are a qpc and they are both on chairs pulled next to each other. they are not watching the movie, theyre talking about video games. these two talk all the way through the credits till kurogiri turns the movie off, and then they head to spinners room to play video games.

if you guys liked this ill share what i think they do valentines day WEEKEND :)
