Aaaand the first round is finished…. with a tie between Zinc and Bronze!
We’ll do another poll between Zinc and Bronze right here—let’s see if we can break that tie!
Zinc Mistings, also called Rioters, burn zinc to enhance emotions of people they target. Rioters can pick specific emotions to target, but nuance becomes more difficult the more people they target at once. Zinc is a Mental External Pulling metal, the counterpart to Brass.
Bronze Mistings, also called Seekers, can hear allomantic pulses when someone nearby is burning a metal. With practice, they can learn to distinguish between different metals being burned based on the rhythm of the pulse, and even between different emotions that a Rioter or Soother is influencing. Bronze is a Mental Internal Pushing metal, the counterpart to Copper.
Both metals can be defeated by a Coppercloud of equal strength; Zinc can also be counteracted by a well-targeted Brass Push.
A strong enough Rioting—usually requiring Duralumin or Hemalurgic enhancements—can be used to bring Hemalurgic creatures (Kandra and Koloss) under control of the allomancer.
A trained enough Seeker, burning enough metals to achieve Savantism, may be able to detect when a metal is flared, enhanced by Duralumin or Nicrosil, or even running low.

A quick one for today. The prompt made me thinking Marasi‘s bendalloy cadmium bubble.
Succulents are beautiful and low-maintenance plants that come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. One of the great things about succulents is that they can be easily propagated, meaning you can create new plants from cuttings or leaves. Propagating succulents is a fun and rewarding project that can help you expand your collection or give plants as gifts to friends and family. In this…

Kelsier had a friend called Trap.
“But Kelsier had always envied his friend Trap, who was a copper Misting. It was a powerful thing to know that your emotions were not the result of outside tempering.”
- The Eleventh Metal
Kelsier is probably right about copper being powerful. As we keep finding that emotion is important in the Cosmere, having the assurance about the veracity and integrity of one’s feelings is going to be powerful indeed.

Our boy Spook and his progression through the books.
ID by @elseweaver 💕 [ID: 3 digital drawings of Spook from Mistborn. In the first drawing, he’s a child with a bowl cut. He has a nervous expression on the face, and messes with his hands.
The second drawing shows Spook as an older teenager, no longer with a bowl cut. He now wears an open sleeveless vest over his shirt, and carries a bag on his back. He looks ahead with a neutral expression.
The third drawing shows Spook as a young man. Along with his vest and shirt he now has a belt of rope with several vials hanging from the sides. He has on a blindfold and gloves, and rests his dueling cane on his shoulder. The area behind him is orange like fire.]
You know how they say that Inuit languages have like a million words for different kinds of snow, and some African languages spoken by forest tribes have a whole bunch of words for different shades of green…? You ever wonder why English has so many words for different kinds of rain? *looks interrogatively at the English climate*

I don’t mean to be contentious, but Maiden Hair ferns are such finicky bitches.
