Did more crafts this week than in the past monthsssss

Here are some crafts I did this week!!!

In order:

1. Hand sanitizer cover keychain (an owl)
2. Felt pin
3. kandi keychains
4. corner bookmark (little apple)
5. felt cover for my writing book (literally my fav thing omggg)

It was actually really fun to get back to crafting cus I didn’t do anything like this in so long:3 Also for the book cover it was like my third attempt…i tried painting it and gluing a cover but both failed and it was so ugly so I’m glad this worked. I actually wrote a bunch of pages bcus I was motivated by the pretty cover:DD

This spring/summer try to stay away from fast fashion and take a look at small businesses!

I take old clothes people have given me or that I’ve gone thrifting and found, then turn them into a new piece of clothing. This recycles and keeps them out of the landfill, supporting slow fashion and a more sustainable way of life. I even hand stitch any holes the clothing may have gotten on its journey to me and I fix anything else with my designs!

So instead of doing a SHEIN or Temu haul…check out small businesses. The earth will thank you ✨🌿🌀

Yarn Creeper

A request my brother made that took me way too long to do (flu got in the way among other things) but it’s finally done! I know it’s ugly, the proportions are all wrong and it looks way too nice for a creeper, but it’s my first time ever doing one, it’s a wonder it can actually stand on it’s four stubby feet!

On an amusing fact, my cat tried to mess with it as soon as he spotted it. Knowing my family’s knack for weird events, it wouldn’t surprise me if my cat somehow understands all that gaming talk that happens around him.

I recently had the bittersweet pleasure of crafting a (dead) puppy for Houston Grand Opera’s production of “Of Mice & Men”. 🥀

Handmade. 🙌 Materials: paper, tape, rope, quilt batting, faux fur, felt, glass cabochons, and a lil’ polymer clay nose.

(I was fueled by a lot of Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly, etc while working on this; my young rivethead self was thriving. 🤘)

It took 16 skeins of yarn 😅

My cats are always OBSESSED with it

out of context, I made this with heart shaped plastic stuff. it looks like more leafy than round ones. I hope it’ll shine under sunlight or I’ll cry
