My name is Kasha B., and I’m so excited to introduce my small business, Kasha’s Kustoms. I specialize in handmade tie dye and bleached hoodies and t-shirts, each one designed to be completely unique. What started as a fun creative project and personal coping strategy has grown into a business I truly love.
I’m also a licensed social worker who focuses on mental health advocacy and substance recovery. I strongly believe in the power of coping skills and creative outlets, which is something I’m deeply passionate about.

This spring/summer try to stay away from fast fashion and take a look at small businesses!
I take old clothes people have given me or that I’ve gone thrifting and found, then turn them into a new piece of clothing. This recycles and keeps them out of the landfill, supporting slow fashion and a more sustainable way of life. I even hand stitch any holes the clothing may have gotten on its journey to me and I fix anything else with my designs!
So instead of doing a SHEIN or Temu haul…check out small businesses. The earth will thank you ✨🌿🌀

I recently won my 7 year battle to get on disability, and was led to Vocational Rehab in 2024! They’re helping me start my own business, and I’m planning to make medical aid accessories and eventually adaptive clothing!
As for the medical bag:
I currently use a regular old backpack to carry my emesis bags, emergency meds, electrolytes, and so on. I hate the set up and am always on the search for a better backpack. I finally realized I could just DESIGN MY OWN!!
I love food themes and think fruit are really cute. I love apple aesthetics so that was my original idea that led to the turn around animation I made! I’m wanting to do other fruits, as well, I considered a blueberry and an orange.
I’m not too sure what to add to the inside though, as every person has different needs. I know I want it to be a medical bag/ everyday bag hybrid. As someone who rode the bus most of their life, I was always carrying books, my iPad, and such on top of my medical supplies.
So far the key factors to the outside of the bag include:
Switch out straps: I want them to fit on walkers/ rollaters, wheelchairs, and have backpack straps.
Hard shell casing: my main concern with designing these bags was making sure medical supplies doesn’t get damaged. I have an idea of it being like those hard shell suitcases, to protect the more fragile equipment.
Pass Case: for people who ride the bus to put their passes, if they need to add “if found- return to” info, emergency care plan, etc.
Outside Pockets: I am obsessed with the idea of the side pockets looking like folded leaves! I want them to be big enough to hold larger water bottles (my reference at the moment is my Stanley.)
Worm Zipper Tag: I’m hoping to have a cute lil worm with a smiley face as a large, S shape tag attached to the zipper with a carabiner. I’m hoping the S hook shape will make it easier to grab and open, but if people want they can take it off. I also want the carabiner so people can add their trinkets like all the other trinket babes. ✨
If you’re looking to have a say in how the inside of the bag is organized, want to request features, or have suggestions for which fruit I should add to the collection, keep a lookout for the survey I’m creating to garner feedback!! The animation was created for this survey, but I felt the need to share the animation first 💙
This is a passion project that Vocational Rehab is offering to help fund, so long as I can prove interest/ demand!! 🥰 I want to be sure disabled people get quality and cute medical aids because we deserve to be fashionable and confident with our aids!!
