@starfalcon555 I can’t remember if we stated how exactly Fox and Birch met Gorse and Ember
If we didn’t, can I suggest Gorse and Ember exploring the tunnels on one end and Fox and Birch doing the same on the other and they meet in the middle? (maybe with some shenanigans of Fox and Birch hearing them and thinking they’re being chased and running, which causes Gorse and Ember to think the same. The echoing makes it sound like they’re right behind them, and at one point they bump into each other (they got separated in the confusion so Birch meets Ember and Fox meets Gorse in different areas). Both are tense and wary, but after both promise they weren’t trying to hurt them and don’t want trouble, they work together to get back to their mates, then they both realize how lost they are and as a four-cat group work together to find a way out.
Maybe when they find an entrance, they find it is storming, and all collectively decide to stay within the tunnels even more, causing them to spend even more time together. They chat and find they get along well, and it goes from there
