5 strikes. That’s up from last week. I’m improving, which is always good. Andrea had a really good game going. I forgot to tell her that the guys that took the lane near us (and brought so many orange bowling balls) had complimented her on her score. They were pretty impressed.
AJ cracked her ball. Kinda looked like an arrowhead. She launches it like a cannonball at those pins, so I’m surprised it lasted this long! Met Nathan, Kate’s brother and Mike & AJ’s son. Kate gets paid to show dogs at dog shows, in addition to doing it for herself. That’s pretty cool that she’s found something she likes doing at such a young age. I think she 18 or 19.
We saw Tony and his grandkids at Walmart. He wandered behind us and we chatted for a bit. Up until that point, I don’t think any of them knew Andrea and I were married. It’s good to see it didn’t seem to phase him. We’re in a pretty conservative area, so we’ve been careful. He’s so gregarious I don’t think we even thought about it.
Andrea said the game shop was pretty barren for Friday Night Magic (Magic the Gathering card games put on by the shop). Most of them are getting ready for deployment. We live near a Marine base. 😞
