The Lost Abbey’s Jesus, Mary, & Joseph IPA on tap at the Lost Abbey Church in Downtown San Diego. A 3 of 4. Smells of orange citrus and other tropical notes, and has a nice hazy body with just a slight softness and creaminess on the palate. Nice color (helped by the nice light in the former church), and drinks quite easily.

Beachwood Color Me Bitter IPA on tap at Modern Times Encinitas. A 3 of 4. Really great color and sticky lacing on this and delivers what you’d expect from a West Coast IPA. Some nice tropical fruit and berry are more subtle on top of a grapefruit/citrus pith bitterness and a touch of grassiness. Lives up to the name with some moderate bitterness in the finish.
Pure + Craft Coast Coastal Project West Coast IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. Somewhat standard West Coast hop profile though a lot more tropical going on on top of the pine and grapefruit. The body is nice and light and the hop complexity lingers a bit on the palate.

Key City Brewing One Vision West Coast IPA (Picked up at Corner Market in Hattiesburg, MS). A 3 of 4. A solid West Coast IPA with the citrus/pine profile you’d expect. Nice very slight hazy to the body and balanced in the body with some medium lingering bitterness.

Fieldwork Sound Parade IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 4 of 4. The nose on this is just incredible from the hop profile of Citra, Strata, and El Dorado – tons of tropical fruit, stone fruit, berries, melon, and more. More grapefruit/citrus in the body, but still a ton of complexity comes through. Quite fruity in the body with some lingering pith-like bitterness.
Tired Hands Extra Knuckle IPA (Picked up at McCaffrey’s in Blue Bell, PA). A 3 of 4. Nice and soft on the palate and a huge complexity of tropical fruit and citrus in the nose and body from the Mosaic. Not as over-the-top as some others from Tired Hands, but it’s clearly got a ton of hops in this and the body stays nice and refreshing.
