What’s the difference between being a nice guy and being a good man? In this episode, we explore how niceness can sometimes be a performance driven by the need for approval, while true goodness comes from authentic character and values. We discuss how nice guys often avoid conflict and seek validation, whereas good men establish boundaries, speak difficult truths, and act with integrity even when it’s uncomfortable. Learn why being agreeable isn’t the same as being honorable, and discover what it means to value your own integrity. https://last-of-the-nice-guys.castos.com/episodes/nice-guys-vs-good-men-understanding-the-difference-a-last-of-the-nice-guys-special-episode

The Power of Choice in “What Should Danny Do?”
In a world where children are constantly making decisions, from what to wear to how to react to a friend, “What Should Danny Do?” offers a valuable and engaging way to teach them about accountability. This book, part of The Power to Choose Series, is far more than a simple story; it’s a hands-on learning tool that puts the reader directly in the driver’s seat.
The narrative follows a young boy named Danny as he navigates a series of common, everyday dilemmas. From choosing to share his toys to deciding how to respond to a frustrating situation, each page presents a clear choice for the reader. The book’s interactive format, where readers are instructed to turn to a specific page based on their decision, makes the learning experience dynamic and personal. This approach not only keeps children engaged but also allows them to see the immediate consequences of both positive and negative choices.
What makes this book so effective is its focus on social-emotional learning. It moves beyond simply telling children what is right and wrong and instead shows them the tangible impact of their actions on themselves and those around them. The story highlights the concept of personal power, teaching children that they have the ability to shape their day and their character through their choices.
“What Should Danny Do?” is an essential addition to any family or classroom library. It provides parents and teachers with a simple, yet powerful, framework for discussing ethics, empathy, and resilience. By allowing children to explore different paths in a safe and fictional setting, the book empowers them to make smarter choices in their own lives. It’s a fun, educational adventure that helps kids understand that they truly have the power to choose.

Ooo! thanks for the ask! And! *hugs back*
definitely not using it to procrastinate right now
I’m going to use the main pair from the project I’m working on right now, Children of the Mind’s Eye (which I should be done with soon so releasing in august or november)
Noan Isle and Til Tanner are the main ship, and it’s Noan by a mile.
Noan is an absolutely balls to the wall wizard who’s spent most of his teen to early adulthood being unable to form real relationships with people, so he deals by being a menace and seducing as many people as he can. He absolutely loves Til though and wants nothing more than to crawl into his skin beside him and live there. (in a non creepy way.)
Til on the other hand entered the knighthood of his own free will and chose a life of celibacy and innate separation from other people for a reason. Part of it being that as much as he craves human connection, he’d much rather keep most people at arms length. (his sister, Noan, and his adoptive kids are the exceptions) Til also just doesn’t think about it most of the time, he’ll drop kisses on his family members heads when he leaves/comes home, but he doesn’t think about much more than that.
They make for a pretty good pair though, lots of issues pairing up nicely between them.
Thanks for the ask, it was nice to take a break by not really taking a break at all!
