Reading dantes inferno and when its describing the lower part of hell i really have to ask like why does violence not include rape????? Its always men men men. I think bestiality is mentioned but rape in and of itself is a violence and it just reminds me this shit is so male centered and men lowkey dont see rape as a bad thing bc more often than not they’re inflicting it on another person. Rape is only ever acknowledged for men in terms of sodomy which is also problematic due to homophobic undertones (rly makes u think what was the catholic church rly tryna correct? They was policing sexuality alot) I always forget anything catholic centric is so devoid of meaning and never rooted in true reality of any kind. Much like monotheism as a concept bc it is so entirely antithetical to the human experience. Why would you EVER need anything outside of you to tell you who you are?
