Oh sure I can explain that! Remus is autistic and has bipolar disorder (Both of which I’m familiar with)
I DID heighten some of his symptoms. That’s because he lives in a world where nobody understands why he acts the way he does, which causes his symptoms to flare up. Stuff like overstimulation, mood swings, and stimming are just not understood by the people of the time.
As for why he lashed out and attacked someone in university? He was EXTREMELY overstimulated and in a manic mood, so when that person called him something I will not repeat he kinda snapped.
As for blackmailing Virgil? That has nothing to do with his mental state. He’s just wild like that.
