- “…Vengeance, the false hero, is revealed as the murderin’ monster he truly is!”
- An important supporting character is killed off in sudden, shocking manner.
- This 24-page adventure constitutes the last solo Vengeance story. In it, recurring villains Reverend Nice and Mike Clemson execute a far-fetched plot to destroy Vengeance. Their scheme is nonsense, but it totally works. Then, at the end, it suddenly doesn’t. And Nice conveniently confesses everything about his plan on camera. Because.
- Final appearance for Sam Buchanan, who was a regular in DARKHOLD before he was a regular in this series. Michael Badilino, meanwhile, goes back to appearing frequently in GHOST RIDER.

The usual stuff.
- Foolkiller is on the rampage in San Francisco.
- Badilino spends this story trying to give Agent Taylor the slip so he can change into Vengeance. Of course, it turns out that she knows his secret.
- The a-story here is okay, but the evil televangelist behind the scenes is really stupid.
- 21 years before we see Foolkiller again. Yikes! That’s crazy. Such a great character.

Not good.
- Psychobabble returns, and Doc Samson needs Vengeance to combat him/them.
- A weak 16-page adventure. We start with Michael Badilino in therapy. The very problems he mentions are the ones he ends up facing during the battle. It’s all very contrived/far-fetched.
- I appreciate them doing something different with the character, but this bland tale doesn’t really feel like a Vengeance story.

Dumb 24-page story.
- Vengeance vs. War Machine
- This isn’t terrible, but it is stupid. And quite lazy (in terms of storytelling).
- There’s a street gang emulating Vengeance–and boy do they ever look silly–and they are fighting the street gang that emulates War Machine. Then, because of this, the two heroes get into a misunderstanding fight.
- Now, I’ll be honest, seeing Vengeance battle War Machine is cool. But there’s just too much other nonsense here–like a corrupt televangelist behind the scene–for it to be a good (or even average) story.
