people always compare Taka to Tenya but out of all the mha characters i feel like he’s more like Inssa
….thoughts?

“Tenya Iida was not good enough.
Sad as such a thing was, he had long since come to terms with his inabilities. It was better, he thought, to be aware of one’s failings. Pride had the potential to be infinitely more dangerous than mediocrity, after all.
He had learned that lesson the hard way—with his cheek pressed into the bloodstained pavement of Hosu city and the backs of his too-valiant friends to his face.”
or…
Tenya Iida deals with all his issues—whether they pertain to his crumbling self-image or the tenuous “relationship” he starts with one Shouto Todoroki—the same way. He doesn’t.
[[MORE]]Another fanfic of mine that I forgot to post here; this one has had three chapter updates thus far, and several more on the way!! Feel free to check it out if you’re interested (though, fair warning, it is my first ever MHA fic, so some stuff may be sloppy).

Midoriya Iida and Uraraka kill a man on accident (the movie)
Shitty ass doodle comic but I might make smth out of this.
I need fan art or Fan fiction of third year Tenya Iida sneaking in booze to a school dance. Or goes on evening jogs to then stop by a tree and have an evening smoke.
Because thare is no way he doeant have a bit of a bad boy phase at one point.
Aiko Akuguro’s origin and life (poorly summerized)
⚠️ Tw: mention of child abuse, death, and limb loss
A little monster weren’t you? With those red beady eyes and slick mop of black hair. looking up to everyone else like you can see their sins?
That cold feeling people get when you look at them, like they’ve been skinned. People don’t like to be seen
Is that why she didn’t like you? Or was it your sick resemblance to your father. You couldn’t even have been blessed with a healing quirk like your brother
No, instead you developed what you needed to to survive. A quirk that made you smart and let you fight for yourself, what else was a little girl supposed to do when her maker hated her?
The other kids didn’t like you either, the way you stare so intently and point out things they weren’t comfortable with yet
But your father saw your value, he knew you were worth something. His pride and joy, he raised you the best he could, taught you to use your Quirk and taught you how to fight and that the world you lived in was a sick place festering with lies
So its a wonder why when you had a father like that which such a lust for hero blood and a hatred for the hypocrisy of hero Society, that you decided you want to be a hero? To do something good with your ability and help those people in need
You still had your father’s teachings and ideology at heart, and you knew he was right. even as you went to the big hero School, Under a false name and a new look. You saw that a lot of them did not understand the true weight of being a hero
But that only drove your convictions further, you needed to be a hero, this system needs to be broken down and rebuilt and you would do it from the inside
You fell in love with one of those hero students, he had passion and values, but even still he came from a family with a legacy of being Heroes. The idea wasn’t right, the idea of being a hero simply out of familial obligation? He needed his own Driving reasons, you knew he could be a hero
That driving reason was put the question when your father paralyzed his brother, and he tried to kill your father. It also put your own ideals to the test, as you had to against your father to save him. Silently persuading him for his life, and proving to your father that you were a hero. And truly earning the tital in his eyes
And you watched in real time in the hospital as you saw the impact your father had on him, that from then on he had true reasons to be the hero he needs to be not the hero he thought he should be
Then it was like your Dream was shattered when you went to that training camp, you got lost in the blue burning forest, your quirk pushed far beyond its capabilities, causing you to not notice that tree before it fell on you, crushing your legs
You felt agony, they we’re definitely broken and starting to be burned, you knew that villain was not far off and you refused to die that way, so you took things into your own hands, and with your life you separated your legs from your body
You couldn’t remember much after that, but why was Aoyama there? Isn’t he going to help?
You pulled your body, feeling so heavy despite realistically being lighter, hearing approaching footsteps before finally passing out.
You expected death but you actually woke up in a bed, makeshift medical supplies around you. You looked around before finally looking down at yourself, your wounds had been healed and you finally understand, your brother was there.
Riku had always healed your little cuts and bruises as a kid, after all it was a big brother’s duty to look after his little sister. But now he was the healer for the league of villains, but he still helped you
He managed to heal you enough and with the help of Mr.compress, snuck you out without heroes or villains noticing.
Thats why the rest of your body was never found, and you are pronounced dead. Your friends, teachers, the pros, Tenya… they all thought you died in that forest.
But now what do you do, how are you supposed to be a hero? Stuck in your brother’s apartment without legs
Well you end up stuck there and then the world goes to shit. And the war starts and your father gets out of prison
You then manage to get Prosthetics, and not just any Prosthetics fully weaponized. Their heavy but you manage. You get parts of your father’s old stendahl costume and armor.
You go out with your father and brother, your father faced off against AFO and he died. But before he did that he declared you as his successor, the new stain.
You took the name and fought, you finally rejoined your classmates, Tenya especially. You had never seen him cry so hard, when he saw you and saw what you would become.
After the war there was a lot of work to do. The country rebuilt, and then after that you and your brother had to make something right, to correct one of your father’s wrongs.
You and Riku went to the Iida family home, you both sank to the floor at Tensei iida’s feet and apologized for your father’s actions and offered to use your brother’s quirk to heal him. He accepted.
After that, to your shock Tenya asked you to marry him. You wouldn’t married till after high school but he didn’t care, he couldn’t lose you again. He didn’t care who you were or who you came from
After the time skip you became a hero, the pro hero stain, you worked primarily at night making sure the streets were clean, and you made sure that if any heros stepped out of line they would be delt with. you made criminals and false heros afraid again
You also worked with Quirk counseling with Ochaco, with a heavy emphasis on kids with Complicated home lives.
You. Turned the idea of stain into something noble, thats who you are.
(Please forgive how long and poorly written this is, and how out of characters some things are. I like to write stuff but im not that good)
Please ask about her!
I thought about Engine being very compatible with either of them.
If it was combined with Jet the engines of the user would come from their feet, either from their soles or ankles.
With Float, the only change would be that the user’s engines would come from many parts of their body, legs, torso, from the back, but they might be a bit smaller compared to Tenya’s
Any of the options would make the user be like a plane, they’d go faster than Tenya ever could since they’re not limited by the ground, they don’t have to touch the ground to move around. They can move at any direction at any moment at incredible speeds.
Tenya: I just got a new notebook, but I don’t know what to use it for. Suggestions?
Shoto: Put soba in it.
Tenya: I am currently taking suggestions from everyone except you.
Sero: Put soba in it.
Tenya: I am currently taking suggestions from everyone except the two of you.
Ochaco: Put soba in it.
Tenya: I am no longer taking suggestions.
I know I primarily post Creepypasta but enjoy this mha tidbit of Tenya Iida and my oc (And Tensei)
(This is after the time skip)
*After a mission where Tenya had to do a lot of running*
Tenya: “My legs are so sore…”
Tensei: *priorly paralyzed* “…”
Aiko: *lost her legs at the training camp and now has prosthetics* “…”
Tenya: “…nevermind”
When will archive of our own come back online???

Edit: It’s gone again. Mid angst fic. At 4:25 am (for me).
Edit: It’s back guys, life is good again
(The fact that one of the first things I did after waking up was checking ao3 says something about me but idk what)
Well, I don’t like making this public knowledge, but then again, just about anyone without proper resources can also find this.
To put it into words, I’m not the first person in my family dating someone with several criminal chares pressed against them.
And I probably will not be the last

tenya iida x original character oneshot
[sfw]
synopsis: tenya’s girlfriend, aiko, has had it rough. on her birthday, he’s determined to make it the best one yet.
warnings/tags: brief mention of addiction and foster care, soft/fluff, established relationship

The moment the clock on the bedside table read “6:00 a.m.”, Tenya Iida sprung up, sitting up with a perfect posture he’d spent years perfecting. Grabbing his glasses from his nightstand, he set them carefully on his face, adjusting the slight tilt. He reached over to grab his cellphone from its charger- today was a very important day.
Unlocking his phone, he navigated to his messages with his girlfriend, Aiko, and with practised precision, he typed out his message.
Good morning, my dearest Aiko! I write this to send my sincerest birthday wishes! Though I have class this afternoon, rest assured I plan to make your day as special as you are. Once I am notified you have woken up, I intend to review our plans together, so please message me back at your earliest convenience!
Hesitating for a moment before hitting send, he added:
Sending you my love.
Before he could overthink the sentiment too much, he hit send. Aiko would likely be asleep for a few more hours- she wasn’t nearly as rigorous about early mornings as he was- meaning he had a few hours to train, workout, and prepare for the evening.
The first hour of his morning was spent at UA’s gym, working on his running speed and lifting some weights. By the time his workout concluded, he still had about an hour and a half to kill before class began, so he returned to his dorm to set out his outfit for dinner (which he’d had dry-cleaned the previous day) and set out Aiko’s gift bag so it would be ready to go. After changing into his uniform, he went down to join his classmates for breakfast, when Aiko finally responded to his message.
Hey :) thank u ten! Can’t wait to see u later.
Fumbling with his glasses at the sight of her response, he awkwardly cleared his throat before responding.
Aiko! It is good to hear from you, although it is quite late in the morning now! I plan on taking you out for dinner tonight. I know a nice place in the heart of Musutafu. My family goes for business events sometimes. I will retrieve you promptly at 4:00 p.m.
Sent.
Thinking for a moment, he added:
And do not worry about what to wear. You always look beautiful.
Shutting his phone off before he could regret being so straightforward, he finished his breakfast and made his way to class.
Though the day’s lecture and classes were extremely informational- learning about hero ethics in the workforce was imperative to his educational advancement- but his mind was elsewhere. Hardly able to concentrate on Mr. Aizawa’s instruction, his thoughts were on Aiko. Excitement at the thought of seeing her that evening- but also a tinge of worry.
It was no secret that Tenya and Aiko led very different lives. While Tenya came from a wealthy, prestigious family of pro heroes and prodigies, in a home with nothing but unconditional love and support, Aiko had lived a very different life. Residing in a group home for teenagers in the system, she’d grown up in poverty, around addiction and the fear of not knowing if there’d be dinner on the table. Once she’d been brought into the system when she was eight, she’d been separated from her siblings and had bounced around foster home after foster home before being put in a subpar group home.
Despite their differences in upbringing, there was a quiet comfort the two had found in each other. When he was around her, Tenya didn’t feel so much pressure to be perfect, to “uphold the family name”, to be the best. Aiko truly wanted him for him- not for the perfect image of him he portrayed around his family and in the hero scene. On the flipside, for Aiko, being around Tenya was an escape from the uncertainty and discomfort of her situation. Regardless of his money or status, Aiko never felt like she was “less than” when he was around. In a position where the world seemed to be against her, Tenya was constantly there to lift her up- and to make sure she felt comfortable enough to ask for help when she needed it.
The day droned on, and before Tenya knew it, the final bell rang. With a quick goodbye to his classmates, he speed-walked back to his dorm, swiftly changing into his nice button down and slacks. In the mirror, he spent three seconds more than he’d calculated fixing his hair- a mistake he internally scolded himself for. Grabbing the gift bag and slipping on his dress shoes, he headed out, shooting Aiko a quick text that he was on his way. While walking to the bus stop, he stopped by his favorite florist, purchasing a bouquet of purple flowers- his girlfriend’s favorite color.
After the short bus ride across town- he never took his chauffeur there, as it made Aiko feel too out of place- he walked the few blocks to the group home. Taking a deep breath and steeling himself to see the conditions she lived in, he put on a confident face and walked to the front door. He raised a polite hand to knock, and within a few moments, the door opened.
In the doorway stood Aiko, dressed in her usual band shirt. For the occasion, she’d chosen to wear a skirt- a lacey black skirt Tenya had bought for her at their last trip to the mall. Paired with that were her old, battered Converse that she’d refused to let him replace despite the duct tape holding together the soles. But most importantly, Tenya simply noticed just how beautiful she looked. How her green eyes shimmered in the sun’s glow, how her wavy brown hair perfectly framed the shape of her face despite the fact she’d cut it herself. In every way, she was his.
Holding out the bouquet, a smile formed on Tenya’s face.
“Aiko, my darling, it’s great to see you!” Tenya exclaimed.
Glancing at the flowers awkwardly before slowly reaching out to take them, Aiko relaxed a little, allowing herself to smile.
“Hey.”
Tenya wasted no time. “Happy birthday! Now,” he said, taking her arm in his. “We have a dinner to attend! We must not be late to our reservation!”
The sentiment earned a chuckle from Aiko- a rare sound that Tenya adored. Nodding, she followed him outside, where he called a rideshare car to bring them to the restaurant.
During dinner, the dim lights of the upscale restaurant highlighted Aiko in such beauty. Tenya struggled to speak in conversation, too distracted by just how infatuated he was with her. As she spoke about her week and her progress doing online schooling, his gaze rested on her eyes, on the way they sparkled when she got excited or how she always tried to keep a positive attitude, even when discussing the things in her life that troubled her.
When the time came, he handed her the small gift bag he’d brought. Opening it timidly, she pulled out a gift card to her favorite store, along with a small box. Inside sat a beautiful silver necklace with a locket on the end. Curiously, Aiko opened the locket, revealing a photo of them from their first date- Tenya in his school uniform, Aiko in her “edgier” attire.
Aiko looked up at him, smiling. “It’s us.”
“So you can keep me with you when I’m unable to be there.”
Eyes softening, she remained silent at first, before reaching over the table to take his hand in hers. It was rare to see Aiko get emotional- she was usually far tougher than he had to be- but Tenya could see the appreciation in her gaze.
“It’s so cute.” She said, “I love it.”
“Yes! Well…” The words caught in his throat. Tenya wasn’t sure he should say what he truly wanted to… but looking at Aiko, the love in her eyes… “I love you.”
Bracing himself for rejection, he tore his eyes from her gaze. Had he said it too soon? Did she even feel the same way? Had he just ruined everything he’d worked so hard to-
“I love you too.”

I’m cosplaying Gary for comic con and I’m gonna wear my ita bag of Iida because y'know I feel like it’s appropriately nerdy but the idea of Gary being a Tenya yumeshipper is cracking me up

we are truly in the depths of despair now
he’s just a self-insert oc now oh my god
this is genuinely what all my first sketches look like btw
