I couldn’t sleep last night, bad zaps all over the body. From Tibia bones on both legs needed dug out/scratched with my nails, the same way the teeth bone has dug out of the front.

Bits and bites salt out underneath the back of my sweater.

I wonder if the squirrel comes out and over to my door because I talk to it. Sometimes I yell in patois, sometimes its in mom’s native tongue, sometimes I tell it to keep the mess low if it wants to stay in for the winter when all its buddies are hibernating somewhere else.

Career Change

Sterling is making a career change from the Head of Intelligence Analysis (the status of head for the main NY office will go to Agent Mathilda Honey in our group) to a Handler.

This will not affect any ongoing threads but he will be in a new department in all threads moving forward.

What a handler does (from what I could find online, not just in SHIELD:

A handler, or a case officer, recruits new agents or assets to SHIELD, oversees operations concerning their assigned field agents, builds trust with civilians and assets, establishes clandestine communications and meeting methods, and is responsible for their assigned agents.

What that means for RP:

If Sterling is established as your handler he will check in on your character from time to time, not just professionally but personally as well. Sterling will, when you would like to RP it out, oversee field assignments you are part of or brief and debrief your character before and after missions. If I come across an open starter or a plot that I think your character would be good for, I will bring it to your attention and if you so choose, you can jump in and participate (like giving an agent an assignment based on need and skill set in a mission). I will also be more willing to jump into the open posts of my assigned agents. Sterling will accept recruitment plots but, be warned, I will be critical of who he recuits as will he. He has always felt he had bad luck with recruiting as several of his recruits have been killed in action in the past. He has refused to do recruitments for years since but as it will be part of his job now, he will do so with great caution.

I am, by no means, an actual handler. Meaning, I have limited perspective on what the job actually entails. I will do more research, of course, but I’m also applying it to the Marvel universe and tweaking it for RP circumstances. 

I will be taking on an overabundance of characters, probably far more than a handler would be assigned, simply because sometimes people delete, go on hiatus, ECT, and I want to have options and people to play and plot with in case someone is away.

Multiples of the same character are allowed. I will treat them as the separate entities that they are.

Two characters on missions at the same time will never overlap or cause a conflict in game. It’s all timey wimey.

This will also open Sterling up to a wider variety of rp situations as he was pretty strictly on desk work before. He will still do paperwork concerning his agents, of course, but he will also be in the field a bit more, networking, building connections with assets, on comms with his agents in the field, and overseeing his assigned individuals for their safety.
