Ooooooo. Completely opposing aesthetics, but so cohesive??? I could see this as a Reader POV vs Habit POV lmao. It’s like the Reese’s Puffs x Misery mashup lmaooo. I could totally see that from Reader’s POV their in this horrible, toxic, hopeless situation and you pan over to Habit’s POV and he’s kinda losing it, he hasn’t felt this sort of sick curiosity so deeply about a person before and he’s trying to rationalize it and navigate it in his own messed up way. But his view on the situation is entirely different, he thinks he’s just playing with you, keeping you relatively safe, breaking you down so you won’t have a will to fully go against him or try to escape from him. Whereas Reader is like on the brink of snapping because of it. It’s fucked all the way around lmao.

Nyarla is a Whisperer whose “class” is Chaos, meaning they gain more nutrients from chaos within servers to feed off of, and that their powers are more oriented towards creating chaos.

Whisperers and Speakers often flock together and traverse servers in order to feed, never staying in one place for too long. Nyarla’s flock consists of Nyx/Igbar (Nyx being the Watcher over the Venus server, where YHS and Tokyo Soul take place, as well as the replacement for Cthulu in my AU) and a powerful Speaker known as Omnis Chaos.

They often answer in Nyx’s place to Watcher worshippers, granting them blessings at a price. One of these worshippers was Stormform long before he joined the Yakuza. Answering his prayer, Nyarla “Voidblessed” Ellen, granting them powers while they were still in the womb. The price Stormform and Ellen had to pay for this blessing was the death of Ellen'a mother when she had given birth.

Long before YHS, Nyx had sought to join Omnis Chaos and Nyarla’s flock, and told the only way was to destroy the Venus server through chaos. Nyarla was tasked in assisting Nyx in this destruction. This is what eventually leads to the paradox events in Tokyo Soul, where the server and any timeline connected to that server is destroyed, and Nyx succeeds in their task.

Their flock now roams across other servers, creating chaos wherever they go.
