i drew an image of hester with a sandwich a bit ago (still not happy with how it turned out) and it was a kind of basic sandwich with lettuce and cheese and tomatoes and stuff so i paused and stopped to think about what kind of sandwich hester would like.

hes part herbivore so probably something with veggies? and so the idea of a sandwich with grilled sweet potato, cream cheese and greens (lettuce, sprouts, ect) got beamed into my head. she’d like a fancy sandwhich.

Black Box

A record containing data of specific events. Most black boxes are unreadable to people who were not born as part of the Archive. There are many types of black boxes, ranging from documents, to memories, to precise atomic data of certain events. Black boxes are often, but not always, restricted to their archive of origin.

Every archive has their own policy on how black boxes are treated, as for my OCverse / this theatres archive, the owners & authors of black boxes have certain rights. Including; Who can see / read their boxes, what parts of it are hidden, to ‘transfer’ memory boxes to other archives, to change its appearance, etc. Much like how real life law works, you’ll need to know about these rights before you can enact them.

Although Leah lists many different types of blackboxes, it’s important to remember these 'types’ have very blurry lines & they were mainly only distinguished from eachother to make things easier to understand from a non-archivist’s standing.

Black Box Owner

A very loose term reffering to 'Who’ owns a specific black box. In reality, to the archive itself / Leah, there is no such thing as a 'Who’, but it’s much easier to understand that a memory box is owned by ’the character who creates those memories’ rather than ’a collection of other black boxes which conglamorated to create a memory box’.

Elise, Eudaimonia, & possibly Old Man Jenkins do not own Black Boxes in this theatre’s archive. Their own boxes are stored in different archives.

Memory Black Box

A type of black box which contains an altered / incomplete picture of certain events. Unlike event black boxes, these boxes can be updated & changed as time goes on, as the owner forgets, learns new information, and so on and so on.

These black boxes are 'light’ compared to other boxes, and so can be taken out of its archive of origin & moved as the owners please. They can also be read by the owner & others who’s black boxes (Think of brains) are similar to the owners.

A stand-in name for anyone & anything who’s name has been hidden from Archive records.

When this is used on this blog though, usually it exclusively refers to Arete’s twin who was involved in the destruction of Prithvi.

We also get a little story about how when he was in the choir he’d lie and say he’d need to go to the bathroom. When he was actually walking to the bathroom he’d get stopped by American tourists to take photos and pay him. Unfortunately for Mark, he got caught so was then banned from going to the bathroom in choir alone.

Jotun are male-by-default because they don’t actually have gender or pronouns in their society. They just mimic what other beings call them, and since humans see hulking yoked out creatures with facial hair and go “man” they just kinda go along with it. Every Jotun has male and female gonads and also they lay eggs.

well that wasn’t all of it. first they went to dinner and a movie and then my mom seduced my dad by showing him photos from her wedding (her husband was out of the country). and then they played scrabble

The bleeding man chuckles, pained and quietly. “I just saw a bit of myself in you.”

There is a version of this, where the Radiance takes the pissing contest in regards to titles seriously, and decides to come up with the coolest title for her son.

Doing some research, “Yuvaraja” is the most appropriate historical equivalent based on the general setting inspiration. Plus, Radi would love to style her land as an empire just to stick it to PK. And I mean, it is kind of fitting in ways Radi herself won’t like pointed out :D

In the end, the whole title would translate to something akin: His Imperial Highness, Great Son of Dawnbreak, the Crown Prince Noon.

Noon is visibly in pain while it gets read out.

The only saving grace is that it gets shortened to Yuvaraja/Crown Prince on most occasions.

humans:

• pretty much the same as on Earth.
• can become almost any of the other "species” with some exceptions depending on the individual.
• human OCs: Dita, Elliot, Emet, Yp, Gréta, Klement, Kles, Akos, Ilario, Xerxa (deceased, reincarnated), Roro (deceased, reincarnated), Teodorik, Miriam, Siegfried, Xanthe, Meygan, Zakariya, Azalea, Hyacinth, Ibis, Ran

ghosts:

• can only exist if the person was killed/committed suicide.
• skin and hair colour will become shades of whatever colour was their favourite during life.
• favourite colour will become related to the circumstances of their death (example: fire = orange, injury involving blood = red, etc.). this can apply to the person’s culture around death too (Ajax’s favourite colour is pale yellow, which is used during funerals where he’s from [Xivi]).
• ghosts are physically trapped in/attached to whatever object is closest to them at the moment of death (ajax is attached to a ring, charlotte is attached to a teddy bear).
• if said object is destroyed, the ghost doesn’t survive.
• ghosts can only leave the object when the reincarnation of someone they had deep emotional bond with finds it.
• ghosts stay attached to the object even after being able to leave it by the tip of their smokey lower half of the body.
• the smoke, that makes up the lower half of their body, can stretch out (the lenght depends on the individual)
• they can interact with the world as if they were regular people. aka they don’t phase through objects.
• they don’t have to eat or drink but many of them still do it.
• ghost OCs: Ajax, Charlotte

reincarnations:

• almost everyone who is not killed/does not commit suicide gets reincarnated.
• everything about the person can change except for the eyes.
• the reincarnated person can see the ghosts of those they had strong emotional bonds with during their previous lives.
• but this can only happen when the ghost is able to leave the object they (the ghost) are trapped in.
• the ghost can leave the object as soon as the reincarnation finds it.
• reincarnated OCs: Ilario (previously Roro, connection to Ajax), Akos (previously Xerxa, connection to Ajax), Meygan (doesn’t have a name/enough lore for her previous life yet, connection to Charlotte)

witches:

• can see ghosts even if they didn’t have strong emotional bond with them during their previous lives.
• witchhood is genetic. sometimes it can appear many generations later even if the percentage of witch dna is low.
• only witches with orange eyes can use magic organically.
• others have to resolve to different methods.
• witch OCs with orange eyes: Sunako, Sorin (used to, can use magic organically despite the eye colour change), Valencia
• witch OCs with other eye colours: Lawrence, Bianka, Silke, Sabrina, Ariel

people with yellow eyes (idk what else to call this category oof ><“):

• once a soul is taken from a person, their eye colour becomes yellow.
• people with yellow eyes cannot get reincarnated or become ghosts.
• they tend to have difficulties with emotions, sometimes seeming cold or indifferent.
• OCs with yellow eyes: Sorin (previously orange), Miriam (previously magenta), Ibis (previously pale pink), Hyacinth (previously pale pink)

exceptions:

• Emma: used to be human, got cursed and turned into a parrot by her ex (Valencia), lost her humanity and accepted her existence as a parrot due to being happier that way.
• Silke: human, had her eyes poked out by her sister (Bianka), doesn’t fall under the yellow eye category but is still not likely to get reincarnated/become a ghost (i honestly don’t know what to do with her case yet lol).
• Ajax’s body (still needs an original name oof): turned into a zombie (idk what other word to use but he’s basically undead) by Bianka.

fairies:

• live inside a storybook kingdom called Leilderos.
• they can leave the book through various gates that are in the book’s illustrations.
• there are limited copies of the book.
• any alteration of the book affects the kingdom (for example: erasing/crossing out text = gets rid of the thing/creature in the kingdom written there, getting the book wet = flood, setting the book on fire = the kingdom becomes set on fire, etc).
• every creature (humans included) has mana except for fairies, who cannot create inside their bodies.
• fairies are parasites and have to consume the mana of others regularly.
• consuming mana can lead to the victim getting sick or fainting. if the victim doesn’t have much mana, they can die (this usually applies to very small creatures).
• it’s easier to consume mana of those they have strong emotional bonds with.
• fairies consume mana just by being near other creatures.
• alternate method of getting mana is via a specific type of crystal, which is, sadly, very rare.
• in their regular versions fairies are smaller than 1mm.
• they can size up by at most 1000x of the regular size.
• if a fairy is in a larger size for a longer amount of time, they become tired and go back to their regular size after a while (this can be involuntary and often happens after the fairy used magic).
• all fairies can use magic organically even if their eyes are not orange. the skill and power depends on the individual.
• all of them have wings but nobody except for the ruler can show theirs outside of celebrations.
• due to this, they’re not good at flying and use various species of small flying insects for travelling longer distances.
• all fairies have pointy ears and antennae, both of which they can hide with magic.
• when born, a fairy becomes connected with a specific species of arthropod and can get help from that species whenever and wherever.
• fairies can summon the species of arthropod they’re connected to. this takes a lot of energy and mana.
• fairy OCs: Oleander, Goneril, Lars, Ceres, Fabien, Henrietta, Dee (sona, the lore for this one heavily depends on where i insert xyr)

Spider

Kisametsu’s victim. You could word it as an allegory for r4p3 or cannibalism.

Current draft is that she was the one who ended the stories of her sisters (the string of people’s life, since they’re based off the Moirai) because she didn’t like them. The string she would not cut would be long-lasting or immortal, the “perfect” human

Pretty much. If mom or dad were home, together they’d usually be fighting. Alone, trying to pin one of us as the scape goat to blame everything on. And that’s when they weren’t taking our doors, screaming at us, or hitting us. I…. I did the best I could to protect Mus from that. I’d sneak home free lunches from school when he was sick, send him to my friends houses as me, anything I could. Started working the second I could do we could have food and to try and keep ReeRee from stealing. But things happened.

*peeking in Remus’s room, making sure the lighthouse nightlight is working and tucking Remus in* Hunger? Cops? Oooooh! You mean when he got arrested for robbing that bakery when we were kids? Or when he dine and dashed when we were teenagers? I’ve had to figure out bail for him a lot…. *Sighs* Mom and dad weren’t big on feeding us and ReeRee got really reckless when I got sick….. It’d get so worried thinking I’d die or something. I made it switch places with me so he wouldn’t be the one in juvie.
