Ne de olsa Trump da “bizdendi”; üstelik Trump, Harris gibi farklı bir ırktan gelen bir kadın değildi. Şunu da hemen belirteyim; bu satırlardan asla ve asla bir Obama'cı olduğum sonucu çıkarılmasın. Tam aksine, benim gözümde Obama, sistem tarafından ehlileştirilmiş o bildiğimiz “Jim Crow” siyahlarının modern bir temsilcisinden ibarettir. Sekiz uzun yıl boyunca oturduğu o “Beyaz” evin ismine bile bir kere olsun refere etmeye, o örtülü ırkçılığa dokunmaya cesaret edemeyerek; tüm siyahları ve ötekileştirilmiş diğer ırktan insanları kendi o sinik korkusuna ve sistem içi konforuna mahkûm etmiş biridir.

Trump, tebrik kuyruklarına dönüp bakmadı bile; çıkarları ters düştüğü ilk anda Türkiye ve İran gibi ülkelere çatır çutur saldırmaya başladı. Burada sadece cinsiyet veya ırk üzerinden okuma yapmak da eksik kalır. Bu eril kardeşliğin içinde, Batı siyasetine has o sığ “Saç Rengi” ayrımcılığı bile devredeydi. Sarı saçlılığın, o “beyaz Amerikalı” estetiğinin getirdiği tuhaf hiyerarşi, liyakatin veya diplomatik aklın önüne geçmişti.

İstisna, Kurallar ve Etik Yoksunu Siyaset
Trump'ın bu önüne geleni ezip geçen politikasından sağ çıkan tek bir isim var: Vladimir Putin. Of course not.

Leaning on this "Secret Powers” illusion, our local autocrats faced the bitter reality of the diplomacy they trusted so much at the first wind blowing from Washington. Trump didn’t even look back at the lines of people waiting to congratulate him; the moment his interests clashed, he started relentlessly attacking countries like Turkey and Iran. Making an assessment here based solely on gender or race would also fall short. Within this masculine brotherhood, even that shallow “Hair Color” discrimination peculiar to Western politics was in play. The bizarre hierarchy brought about by blondness, that “white American” aesthetic, had taken precedence over merit or diplomatic intelligence.

Still, they need to finally learn a lesson from this diplomatic fiasco; that is, if they have any capacity left.
