To have a happy marriage, I did have to learn this and also that my wife was always right. I had never lived with a woman before so I had to learn to do things her way and up to her standards too. I have always been a slow learner so I id have a slow learning curve. But my spankings did change my behavior but I stir have to admit to her when I have disobeyed her or broken any of her rules. But it does keep my wife happy and I am forgiven.
