Isn’t it funny how society tells you you need to be confident. You become confident. You’re winning in life and then the same society tries to break you down and make you insecure/self-conscious and low in self-confidence.
Babies aren’t born self-conscious. They’re confident. The world takes confidence away from them when they become aware. Because in this new world, self confidence and walking like you own the place.
Taking up space. All of it is considered “arrogance”. Dodging eye contact, stuttering in speech, and self-consciousness is considered a sign of humility.
That’s why you need to be confident. You need to have high levels of confidence. Don’t allow the world to dictate how you should act or not act. Don’t dumb yourself down to a level others can understand you. If someone calls you arrogant for being sure of yourself or walking proudly with your head up, they’re talking about themselves.
Most people are cowards and are told that being sure of yourself is a sign of pride. At the end of the day, don’t bring yourself down just because someone’s gonna feel a certain way. You are not responsible for the narratives others choose to spin in their heads about you.
