You’re hungry, but I’m starving
He cuts you down from the tree
He keeps you in a box by the bed
Alive, but just barely

Alive, but just barely
Oh no.
Just realised that my first concert with the band is on the weekend after Good Omens 3 drops. I’ll either have not practiced at all for three days or I’ll be suffering from severe internet withdrawals as I pretend to be focussed (with the goal of watching after to distract myself from the post-concert perfectionist meltdown.)
(Knowing my luck there’ll also be a launch that week. Thank goodness the band is made up of nerds who are just there to have fun and try their best.)
been listening to Self a lot recently and if I find out they did anything bad it will end sorely for everyone else
The problem with making friends who are also in band is we’re both deaf and cant understand each other or speak

I love yet hate being a percussionist because why do I have to wake up at 6 am on a Saturday to get to a school at 8:00 and perform at 8:55 then proceed to do nothing all day while waiting for awards at 6 🥰🥰
say hi to evil Mike!!!!!!!
I was slaving away moving bales of pine straw for NHS, and it was supposed to be from 8-11. We ended at 10 and I couldnt be picked up until 11:30. But luckily, I recognized a kid from band. He isn’t even in my class, but we play together for MPA and concerts.
Long story short, I got a ride home and it all worked out. Thanks, band!

“The Alter Natives are a frantic, improv-minded combo from Richmond, Virginia’s hop-crazed art community. During SST’s expansionist days of ’86, their all-instrumental, sax-led spazz attack was among the most promising noise the label released. The band’s first two LPs, recorded as a quartet, feature sax and flute-playing (Eric Ungar) of a remarkably non-fusionoid stripe; by the time of the third LP, however, the configuration was rock-basic (guitar/bass/drums), and Buzz is an excellent album of aggressive space Hunch.”

Remastered and available for the first time in the 21st century, Buzz, the long out-of-print third (and final) full-length LP by Richmond, Virginia instrumental group the Alter Natives, is now available on Electric Cowbell’s reissue label, Richmond Relics, and streaming services worldwide. Now as a trio, the group’s synthesis of hardcore, metal and surf garnered worldwide critical acclaim that led to the group’s sold-out European tours with Universal Congress Of, Extreme Noise, and Carnival of Souls.

I love my band director, “I’m sorry if I made you feel bad-no I’m not.” (I swear he’s a really good guy.)

I miss football season dearly. Being in band is my favorite thing, though I wish I had picked brass to do all the cool stand tunes😭
