These… things (made in late 2024 using the DnD character creator Hero Forge) were somehow important to the nearly incomprehensible plot of Iteration 2.

Everyone except for the big-headed magenta fella (who iirc was just a worse Lord English) were pretty much just common enemies in their environments. Clunky explanation, but that’s the best way to say it without going too much into detail on said incomprehensible plot of Iteration 2.

The one’s I remember the names of are Wizz (the green naked idiot), Hell’s Housewife (the Squidward looking lady) and Gary (the pink thing at the end). I forget what the previously mentioned magenta fella was named, and the discontent horned woman is supposed to be a Chili’s waitress from hell.

I can’t decide if I want to major in classics or anthropology/archeology… both are sooo interesting but go down different paths

I just want to work in a history museum archive (ー_ー)

We’ve built something. Today the website goes live. The notebooks arrive April 15.

Analog Object Studio. Hand-bound. Archival. Coffee colors. No branding. Just tools for the traveling mind.

Visit analogobject.studio to see what’s been on my desk. Thanks for being here at the start.

Hollyhocks, lupins, and battling the weeds

Hello dear readers,

I write to you from my kitchen desk; sun shines through the window and, outside, wind batters the cedar hedges. It’s a second cup of coffee kind of day, partly because we turned the clocks forward in the night¹, and partly because I drank coffee far too late in the day yesterday to go to bed at a reasonable hour.

But today, I wanted to give you a little garden update. Right…

Writing update 001: my revising alignment is chaotic neutral

Hello dear readers,

Welcome to our first ever weekly writing update!

I’ve wanted to start something like this for a long time, but never wanted my blog to be only writing-focused—I love what I have over there, and would hate to see it turn into me talking about just one thing.

And so, the weekly writing corner is born. My plan is to share my current projects with you in a more in-depth way…

A new way of sharing & documenting my writing /  a collection of thoughts

Hello dear readers,

I write to you from my kitchen desk on what feels like the first day of spring (despite it still being winter). It’s late afternoon and the sun is shining through the windows onto my back, and I would love nothing more than to lie down in a patch of sun and sleep for a while.

Part of this comes from the two hours of work I just did in the garden¹, but also because it is…

FYI. Annas archive’s li server is down. The Greenland one is running well and can be found above. If it goes down, note that the Wikipedia page for Annas Archive has good info and links. This is the best thing since sliced bread, not to mention the Spotify liberation.

Finally getting back into dark legion and I only downloaded the app to do an archival type thing, but I keep forgetting to screenshot conversations

I think my og plan was to only archive titans stuff (specifically those on the silver age team, the ntt, new titans, and titans 1999 characters) so I’m going to stick with that

I’ll post the photos I have eventually on @nightwing-rg because they’re going to take up so much storage lmfao

Edit: as expected, I ran out of tags. If your fave isn’t listed, it doesn’t mean i won’t take screenshots of their conversations to post. It just means I didn’t have enough tags to put them in. One of my own faves (best girl Jesse Quick) also isn’t in the tags. Its just the tungle.hell tag limit unfortunately

There’s an extreme sense of dread in knowing that the best (legal) way to play the MGS series (barring possession of the originals) is to play it on a twenty-year old console with the HD Collection (and snag a digital copy of MGS1)

Given the performance issues and control remapping required for the “Master Collection” and the nigh unplayable, soulless heartbreak that is Delta, what’s the recourse for preserving games media that was specifically tailored for the console it was shipped on?

There’s a finite supply of Sixaxis and Dualshock 3s in the world, how am I meant to *really* play these games with controllers that can’t detect a hard or soft button press? I’m not going to say that the control schemes of the originals are the most friendly, but they are deliberate and tuned and tested and if you change something fundamental because your control input can’t support that action, then you by necessity need to re-design the controls and possibly the game. You can’t just port an existing SKU onto new hardware and call it a day.

Man on the Run review – archival delve into Paul McCartney’s post-Beatles era is a welcome revisit | Movies

Another hefty legacy project for Paul McCartney, who acts as off-camera interviewee and executive producer in this documentary by Morgan Neville. Man on the Run is composed of archive film, photos and audio recordings of McCartney and his late wife, Linda, his children and others. Some of McCartney’s overlaid commentary seems to be new, and some pre-existing.
The film tracks his tense,…

Finishing the first draft on a snow-filled evening

Hello dear readers,

I’m writing this to you from my kitchen desk, where I’m watching the first snowfall of the season, the flakes substantial and fast to make up for the fact it held off for so long.

I have some news: I’ve finished the first draft of my novel. The last words were typed just a few minutes ago, as the flakes began to fall. If I had known the snow was waiting for me to finish, I…

Introducing the logbook

This post was originally published on substack January 11, 2026.

Hello dear readers,

As I’m sure you’re fully aware by now, I delight in archival practices that center on mundane¹ life experiences. So it may come as no surprise, then, that I’m starting a new series here, which I’m simply calling “the logbook.”

The logbook is exactly what it sounds like: an account of my days through the month,…

Physical gardening records & the first signs of spring

Hello dear readers,

I write to you from my kitchen desk, where I look out on sun-drenched cedars, a cool breeze blowing through the open window. The past week has been unseasonably warm¹, and I’ve spent much of it pining for real spring, not this false one that gets my hopes up. But if it’s not going to be winter this year², then I think it should just get on with it and fully make the…
