Favourite “cheese” builds/tactics? For example in AoE2 the “Persian Douche”. The Persian player deletes their starting Town Center to rebuild it next to an opponent’s. Persian Town Center has double hp. I.e you destroy the enemy in the dark age.
Posted the same thing previously, but it was deleted because pictures are not allowed with posts meant for discussion. Although I thought it makes sense to visualise it - that the Persian player is building the Town Centre and also these walls to protect their villagers. Because you can’t cross the area, where the walls are being built. And the villagers can build them faster than the opponent’s villagers can destroy them. The Town Centre can fire arrows to the other Town Centre and villagers, so.. it’s called the “Persian Douche” for a reason. Ofc good players know how to counter it, but it can be very effective if you find the enemy’s base early on.But there’s surely loads of strategies or specific builds (like in some RPG’s) that can be considered “cheese” in many other games. What does “cheese” mean in this context?,In a gaming scene the word cheese is used to describe strategies or ways of playing that are really powerful and do not require much skill from the players side at the same time. It’s a pretty old term. In use at least in 1992 with Street Fighter for example.Imo it’s a sort of a high-risk high-reward thing. And.. fun for you, but maybe not that fun for the opponent (if it’s a multiplayer game)..

I’ve seen shaving and like bush talk and stuff brought up on this sub before, but like I feel like when you’re trans and have dysphoria, that might be related to ur feelings on it. In theory I would love to be the girl with the bush and armpit hair right but actually having body hair gives me dysphoria like so I end up shaving it because what else would I do I mean it’s not like I care about the approval of random men y'know. And I feel like that’s weird of me because I like dressing masc so why even does body hair give me dysphoria. No other reason than like society says woman are hairless I guess. Which obviously isn’t true, but I feel like it’s definitely true that most women shave? At least for special occasions? So I just do it like every week 💀 I also understand some women just prefer being smooth too I mean I love how soft estrogen made me. Anyway, that was all, my skill issue. -Autumn ⭐
Some replies that stood out:
SeraWwW: ABSOLUTELY. All my body hair needs to be erased from existence with an epilator as soon as it shows up or I’m gonna go crazy
Local-Key5858: Yep yep yep shaving helped me with dysphoria immediately.
Samirahope: I think there are multiple components: Firstly since we are primed to perceive women as less hairy than men, to feel more feminine trans women tend to remove hair (and sometimes end up being way less hairy as an “overcorrection”). But also, removing hair is an active action: it’s something that you are doing, it’s effort. And that can help with dysphoria because you are actively doing something to align your body to your expectations. Of course it can also have the opposite effect, if you struggle with body dysmorphia (or with eating disorders (hello)). Brains are complicated. Love yourself.
CaptNat3600: I’ve had laser for literally everything from my face down… I’ve also been on HRT for over 4 years. Between those 2 things I’m certainly not fully baby dolphin smooth… but I have roughly the same about of hair growth or slightly less than any of my cis girl friends. So these days I only do an “everything shower” like maybe once a month or if I have a date whichever comes first. lol
Artenazura: I think it’s normal for women to have a lot of shame around body hair in this society tbh. I’m not a transbian but I had so much embarrassment as a preteen about my body hair before my mom let me start shaving. Having body hair is literally neutral (i.e. the default) but we’re made to feel it is “not allowed” for women!! For me not shaving my legs is part of me trying to heal that inner child. Still shave my armpits though lol

What do you find to be the worst argument for a god?
for me personally I’m gonna have to go with “just look around you” because that is just so stupid that I can’t even dignify that with a response like, what does that tell me like how does that prove that there is any intelligent design here? This was a result of billions upon billions of years of evolution, and other outside factors. It has nothing to do with a god.
However, if I have to give an example of an argument for God that “sounds smart” it would have to be the fine tuning argument.
Which ones do you guys find the most idiotic

Christians will believe just about anything.
So recently I’ve started to show more solidarity to my atheism, And a friend of mine didn’t really like that. She started messaging me about how science is just “Theories” and how she used to be an atheist as well but stopped cause “unexplainable things happened to her” Which i never bothered to ask her what it was, Cause it would definitely be something stupid.
Anyways fast-forward a few days and she starts posting a lot of Christian slop on her insta stories, And i never really bothered to reply cause i found it all to just be extremely stupid.
But yesterday she made a post so STUPID, That i literally HAD to message her about it. And the post was about how “Nasa proved the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.” And i was reading it thinking “No way someone can be that dumb.” But then i remembered she’s a christian and then it all started to make sense.
Anyways i messaged her about it telling her that it was the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard, And she goes on to tell me “Facts” that the bible is true and proof of it and etc etc, To which i then got bored and just blocked her. So moral of the story is, Christians will believe just about anything.

First time buying a PlayStation and looking for recommendations with limited cash to spend.
I finally was able to get me a PS5 but now I’m realizing I don’t have any way to get games. I have about 20 extra dollars to spend per month on games. I was able to get God of War cause it came with a bundle. What do you all recommend for someone on a strict budget?

Some guy on reddit: I hate [female character on show],for X, Y, and Z reasons.
Various people: Wow, you’re such a misogynist!
All of them: I don’t need evidence! It’s obvious!
One of them: I bet women cover their drinks when you pass.
Me:

Imagine someone says “you should have evidence before you call people misogynists”, and then you immediately assume they’re an even worse misogynist.
Many of them also claimed the fandom had a general problem with “misogyny”, and one person even said most men are misogynist(-ish) by default, and the show’s fanbase was mostly men, therefore most of the fans were misogynist.
I don’t think there was even any evidence OP was a dude.
For the record, this particular fandom has a longstanding rep for “misogynist” fans.

Someone IDing themselves as a stone butch seems to be fairly common, and yet I have never seen a self-identifying femme do the same thing (note: I live under a rock, so this may be more common online than IRL). Is it actually less common? Is there a different term that is more popular? Am I just missing it somehow? What’s going on here?
Some notable replies:
Baron_Ray: I know a stone femme top. Very charismatic woman. Mostly dates masc bottoms, if memory serves correctly.
GoldenGoof19: I’m super confused by these comments… 😅 I call myself a femme because I present femme - dresses, heels, makeup etc. That doesn’t have any relationship or effect on if I like to give or receive or not be touched at all in bed…. I assume the same is for butch lesbians? But some of the comments are equating those terms with tops and bottoms, doms and subs and uh… idk maybe I have the wrong understanding of all the terms? But to me just because someone is femme doesn’t mean they wouldn’t top or be dominant… and vice versa? Edit - I should add here that it doesn’t always have to have a power dynamic or top and bottom either. But femme presentation (in my experience, I don’t speak for everyone) doesn’t mean they have to be one way or another in bed.
Persistingpoet: There are lots of femmes who are either stone tops or stone bottoms. Being a femme doesn’t dictate how you like to have sex

My wife and I are an interracial couple with a biracial toddler and three times now people have loudly made the assumption either I (34F white) am my wife’s (31F Black) mother, or we are sisters. I know people (these are strangers) don’t mean harm when they say “are you out with Gigi and Mommy? 🙂” or “are you sisters? 🙂”, but my God. I am getting so irritated that we’re going to have to constantly correct people as our daughter gets older so she knows how to respond appropriately when people do this to her. I am a few years older but we do not look drastically different in age. I think the assumption is often due to both of us being fem-presenting and being a multiracial family which is further infuriating.
Two questions: 1) are other people dealing with similar issues? And 2) how do you (or would you) respond in these situations?
Signed,
Irritated Lesbians.
A few notable replies:
Pseudodactyl: I can’t speak from personal experience, but my cousin and her girlfriend have been together almost 15 years and they get this a lot. My cousin is white and her girlfriend is biracial (Black and Asian). They’re only a year apart in age and look nothing alike but for some reason people keep assuming my cousin is her girlfriend’s mom. I’ve seen it happen multiple times with my own eyes, and I know there’s probably countless more assumptions made that they’ve never told me about. It’s like people’s blindness to queer couples gets completely tripped up by interracial couples and starts hallucinating like an overwhelmed AI.
LuxrayEnjoyer: This is just plain homophobia and misogyny I feel so sorry for you. Women being close with eachother is always seen as platonic, so the moment you two are in a dynamic that doesnt look like just friends, people will just look to any and I mean ANY means to justify this as not romantic. Its stupid and I just know that if you two were men or a hetero couple no one would make this assumption
SweetTotal: Whenever i get comments like this i make it a point to make whoever is asking as uncomfortable as i can (minding my own safety obs)
EmeraldUsagi: People ask my wife and I “which of you is the mother?” and get really upset when we say both of us. “Yes but..” - yes, we know what you want to know, but that doesn’t mean you deserve the answer. (In our case my wife carried them, but they’re both “ours” genetically. Explaining further requires outing me as trans, and neither of us like doing that with strangers in person) Our kids are older now and reply the same way.
Sensitive-Issue84: My wife and I look nothing alike except we both have curly hair, plus I’m olive skinned with blond hair and she is very white with very dark hair. I can’t begin to tell you how many times we are asked if she is my mother or if we’re sisters. It’s terrible! She is 3 years older than I am and it’s really getting annoying. Sometimes we laugh and say we’re married but sometimes it a rude No! We’re right there with you.
