I am a boozle!

Okay, so in the video game Apex Legends there’s a character called Mirage (seen above, my beloved baby) and he creates holograms of himself and his whole thing is he bamBOOZLES the enemy. He has various voicelines that say things like “there goes a boozle!”

So, my whole internet life my usernames have always been ghost related, and I felt like a ‘boozle’ was just like a ghost and it fit. It also sorta goes with my jokester/clown love :) I also like the idea of creating boozles, having different versions of myself because we all go through phases and fads and grow, so boozles just felt right :) and it stuck!

I don’t actually play Apex Legends anymore, sadly (the game just got…not fun) but my beloved Elliot will always be with me ❤️

ideally the plan is to make a full roster of rooks and have them running around my worldstate like everybody else has (except maeve whose mage hawke sibling died. rip), but i’ve just kind of started ignoring the lore for most of them to the point of near unrecognizability. at least we will always have thornes and de rivas who have so much established prior lore making those guys is not an issue. anyway say hi to rosamund my normal and well adjusted friend rosamund

rosamund de riva, an elf with bird like facial tattoos and a braid sits in a boatALT

maybe veilguard would be better if it didnt immediately start the game by flashing repeatedly at you in all the cutscenes.

Oh!

Hmm…

Your ask made me realise I haven’t been playing a lot recently, but I realise I really liked playing MH Rise-Sunbreak, both the solo mode and the multiplayer mode, but it was in 2022, already four years ago!

Just like TS now that I think about it and, I won’t lie, the game is fun.

The choices and the consequences of said choices are plausible, and it’s a nice story you play through, and the characters are not the most profound, but they fit nicely in the role the story gave them.

But Hyzante’s… existence in general lol, just shoot it down for me, and it’s a shame because bar this giant red flag from the plot, from the music to the design and mechanics, I really like this game. Too bad it’s a Squenix game.

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy UO as much as I did because, well, I suck at RTS games lol, and also the fanservice artworks really soured me - elf ladies and Scarlett are prime examples - but despite being vanilla (lel) the story was engaging, the OST nice and the sprites are, despite the fanservice, really beautiful, to the point I bought an artwork book lol.

Too bad the character’s bonds borrow from the worst pandering FE can offer, with everyone having to be available for MC to romance (or nearly everyone) but bar this, the game was a good experience. I really liked it.

I bought the Baten Kaitos compilation and replayed the first one, and origins later on, and damn if I remembered why I fell in love with the RPG genre lol, BKEWLO’s gameplay is really engaging, even if it means having to cook stuff while fighting against demons, the plot holds even if some characters are a bit sidelined they each have their own arc.

I prefer it to Origin’s gameplay and OST, even if the character’s interactions are better (3 characters compared to 6) but Origins really embraces the “it’s a prequel” thing and knowing how everything ultimately went down in EWLO, everything considered, it’s a gut punch since we know everything ends up in flames.

Most recent game I’ve played in PLZA and while I can understand the complains about graphics, pricing and all, for a spin-off game, it was a nice experience. Imo the game explored the “lore” and world of X/Y better than, well, X/Y did even if we’re stuck in not-Paris, there are a lot of inside jokes, the NPCs are charming and if the battle system is a bit clunky, it’s the only game in the franchise where I can send a lvl 100 Ariados to kill stuff.

even if Ariados still can’t do a thing, even powered up by a donut, against P-Groudon

Chauvinism calls, so I pick PLZA.

I am (hopefully) fashionably late with my 2025 End of Year games round up! There’s some games I’ve talked about on here before and some others I haven’t gone into too much detail about - please enjoy!

hm i think win is actually acting as an interface between the ambassadoria and lucerni before they get dismantled… it makes sense for him + given the general dynamics of the shadow dragons and the way we see surface dwarven merchants engaging with orzammar in origins (and to a lesser extent da2) it would make sense practically as well. the previous public association with the lucerni would make the whole “being wanted as a fugitive” thing more of an issue too in a way that works for me
