RAID

En gestión de proyectos, RAID es un acrónimo que define una estructura para organizar y gestionar elementos clave que pueden afectar el proyecto. Cada letra corresponde a un tipo de elemento:

R – Riesgos (Risks)

• Son eventos potenciales que pueden ocurrir en el futuro y afectar el proyecto.
• Siempre se gestionan de manera proactiva, buscando mitigarlos antes de que ocurran.

Ejemplo: retrasos en la entrega de un proveedor, fallas tecnológicas, cambios en regulaciones.

A – Supuestos (Assumptions)

• Son condiciones que el equipo considera verdaderas o ciertas para planificar el proyecto, aunque no estén confirmadas.
• Es crítico documentarlas porque, si resultan falsas, pueden impactar directamente en riesgos o problemas.

Ejemplo: “Se asume que el proveedor entregará los materiales en tiempo y forma”.

I – Problemas (Issues)

• Son eventos que ya ocurrieron y necesitan resolución.
• Se gestionan de manera correctiva y reactiva.

Ejemplo: un retraso real en la entrega de un insumo o un error de presupuesto que debe resolverse inmediatamente.

D – Dependencias (Dependencies)

• Relaciona actividades, equipos o proyectos que dependen de otros para avanzar.
• Gestionarlas es clave para planificar plazos y recursos.

Ejemplo: “No podemos iniciar la fase de pruebas hasta que el módulo de desarrollo esté completo”.

Cómo se usa

• Normalmente se documenta en una matriz o tabla RAID, donde cada fila es un elemento y se registran datos como responsable, fecha, prioridad, impacto, acciones de mitigación/resolución.
• Permite al equipo y a los stakeholders tener visión rápida de lo que puede afectar al proyecto, diferenciando lo que es potencial (riesgos), lo que se está resolviendo (problemas), lo que se asume y lo que depende de otros.

• Riesgos ®: se planifican acciones preventivas.
• Supuestos (A): se monitorean para verificar si siguen siendo válidos.
• Problemas (I): se resuelven lo más rápido posible.
• Dependencias (D): se gestionan para que no bloqueen otras tareas.
