The Fergus Mosquito kit car was inspired by the Aston Martin Ulster 0f 1935, The donor mechanics are from the Morris Marina and was very well executed, and rides on proper 18in wire wheels and dummy front leaf springs (Marina torsion
bars were used in fact). Cars were supplied mainly in kit form, with a steel tube chassis and bodywork in fibreglass and aluminium.
Like many of the kit car manufacturers Fergus was to change ownership and names. 1986-87 as Fergus Engineering, Kingsbridge, Devon. 1991-92 A.I.M.S. Kingsbridge, Devon. 1992 on Products of Distinction, Redditch, Worcester.
With a paddock full of period Aston Martins, this was an interesting and welcome find. This one was based on a 1972 Morris Marina 1800.

it’s fergus’ gotcha day/birthday and we did our thanksgiving yesterday so decided to put the tree up… this was their first time in nearly 4 months of cohabitation not fighting on sight 🩷 a holiday miracle!

perhaps one of my favorite things to think abt writing is cat and fergus both being too frightened to do much more than look at each other and try to get confirmation that who they’re looking at rly is that long lost sibling. they’ve clawed their way thru nightmare after nightmare but somehow the thing that makes them lose their nerve is the long-crushed hope that they’re not the only survivor suddenly being made manifest.
