Big Angus happenings

My mother texted me 6 hours into my work day last week to let me know that she threw Angus a toy that Peaches had stolen out of a toy box. Bottom right picture was sent explaining that he seemed to want to cuddle with it and so she hasn’t taken it away. Fast forward to this week and Angus is being allowed way more time with his platypus with less supervision. At 8.5 years he is bonded with this thing in a way that he hasn’t bonded with a toy since he was a puppy with his lambchomp. He wants to take it everywhere, and chomp lightly on it, but also does a lot of grooming to the the long hairs. I am really hoping he continues to be buddies with his toy because I get emotional trying to separate them, it’s so nice to see him cuddling with it.

World Steak Challenge 2025: trionfa l’Irlanda con la miglior bistecca al mondo

La finale della World Steak Challenge 2025, giunta all’11ª edizione, si è svolta il 10 novembre a Londra presso la steakhouse Smith & Wollensky. A conquistare il titolo di Miglior Bistecca al Mondo è stata una lombata di Angus irlandese grass fed, stagionata 32 giorni e prodotta dall’azienda Dawn Meats, distribuita dalla catena Lidl. Lo stesso taglio ha ottenuto anche i riconoscimenti di Europe’s Best Steak e World’s Best Grass-Fed Sirloin.

La competizione ha valutato 304 tagli di carne provenienti da tutto il mondo. Dopo due giorni di degustazioni e analisi tecniche svolte ad Amsterdam, sono state assegnate 122 medaglie d’oro, 109 d’argento e 73 di bronzo. Alla cerimonia di premiazione hanno partecipato produttori, chef, buyer, ristoratori, media di settore e influencer gastronomici.
