I’m not going to tell anyone anything new if I say that the theories and writings left behind by the CCRU (Cybernetic Culture Research Unit) are very complicated to understand. I’m still working on it, and chatting with @moe-hyperstition make me refresh my memory on some texts to review certain references. That’s why I’m sharing some quotes from them with you last days.
@spaceintruderdetector, in his kindness, let me know that there was material about it on the Internet Archive and offered me links, so we owe this to him, as well as the Spanish edition of the compendium of their writings. We even have an audiobook version!
[[MORE]]Why am I telling you this? Because it’s true, even though it makes me feel less clever and capable of searching the internet as some might think, and because there’s something we should always remember: it’s ideas, influences, or chance encounters with others that shape our thinking.
And just as I recently thanked blog for its music outside the mainstream, we don’t build anything or any blog on our own, but rather thanks to, and influenced by, the IRL social environment and Tumblr. Be kind, be understanding, and be grateful to those around you. Thank you all so much!
