Not at all anon! Some creators feel like that, I sometimes feel like that whenever I finish a fic or something and I get little to no traction. Sometimes I also wonder if it’s even worth it anymore.

It’s a perfectly valid feeling to have, especially when you put in time and effort.

(But it’s not okay to be mean or rude to people just because of it fyi, don’t hold works hostage just because you didn’t get traction)

Anyway, no need to feel bad anon. Whenever I feel demotivated or disappointed, I often remember my readers or commentators who are reading my stuff. I hope this helps in some way anon!

Is anyone else having issues where none of their gifsets are showing up in the tags or is it just me? I’ve posted two different things and neither will show up in their respective tags and I’m not quite sure how to fix that?

Oh gods… it’s not just you.

The burnout is real, and I don’t know how to recharge either.

I’m much like that lately too…like I want to…sometimes I even go ooh! yes! that’s it!…and then the idea just kinda fizzles out and is lost to the void before I even get the word document open.

Part of me wants to blame the way the world is with the pandemic, and the way Fandoms are kind of swinging with this idea of purity culture (I’ll admit it’s made me gun shy to post things sometimes… v_v ) but, I know that’s not it entirely either…

I wish I could grant both you and I the energy and the drive and the will to do the thing….

but…maybe it’s like spring.

It’ll come back sometime, I just hope its sooner than later!

I love sharing this with y’all because I feel that more often than not non-gifmakers don’t truly understand and value the work that goes into creating high quality gifs (not everyone of course! those of you who always say nice things about my gifs - i promise I see it and I appreciate it more than I can express <333)

twin peaks is so. orange. so. red. which, don’t get me wrong, is a vibe™ when you’re watching but I personally don’t like this red filter on my gifs so I try to get rid of it as best as I can 🙃 [posting this set tonight!]

This I have also shared before and I remember got quite a few notes actually and people were surprised by how much of a difference editing makes! [x]

Like I said, I am not a very experienced gifmaker and definitely have a lot to learn. I colour all my gifs from scratch because I honestly find that easier than using a psd which I then would have to adjust. :’)

So I am here to give you all sneak peeks of works that I am working on PLUS ideas that have popped into my head! 

Chapter 2 of Dancing Doll (DD) - The stalker has a plan and will find a way to mke sure his doll will be a part of his collection. Meanwhile Dean is helping Y/N with her car, all while trying not to fall for the girl after a bad breakup. Y/N, on the other hand, can’t help but already fall head over heels for the green-eyed mechanic. 

For DD this is more of what I have planned for chapter two and what will happen in it. 

Chapter 4 of Bottom of the Bottle (BOTB) 

“You okay, cher?” Benny asked as he came up to the bar. 

“I’m fine,” she huffed, “why do you ask?” 

“You got dis–” he paused and tilted his head, “far away look in yo eyez.” 

Y/N snorted before turning to a customer who called her for a round of shots of tequila. 

“Please,” she laughed, “I am fine.”  

“You are worried bout da rock star, Cher,” Benny pointed out. “Don’t take a geniuz to figya dat out.” 

“I just hope that he is okay,” Y/N sighed. “Is it so bad to make sure he isn’t hurt even if I think he is a pretentious jackass?” 

“Not at all,” Benny said, smiling at her. “Meanz, you’z got a heart of gold.” 

“He wasn’t bad on stage that night,” Y/N breathed. “Gotta admit that it brought in some new customers.” 

Benny nodded, “got dat right. Kitchen is busier dan eva tonight.”  

 “Then what are you doing here talking to me for?” Y/N sassed, busying herself with filling in drink orders. 

“He’ll be back,” a voice said from three stools down.

One Shot - My Rapunzel 

“Well,” a voice called from the top of the stair, “Is there trouble in paradise, boys.” 

“Rowena, what are you doing here?” Dean growled, glaring at Sam. 

“I called her,” Sam sighed. 

“After the shit, you gave Y/N about calling her, you called this Witch Bitch here?” 

“I beg your pardon,” Rowena called, “but who else is going to help you against Mother Gothel?” 

“Who? What is she talking about, Sam?” Dean grumbled, making his way to the drink cart and pouring himself a glass of whiskey. 

“Mother Gothel has been healing witches and working for the grand cove, boy-o,” Rowena sassed, making her way down the stairs and towards Dean, where she stole his glass of whiskey and drank it. “Slainte.” 

“Gazuntite,” Dean said, glaring at her. “Why should we care about this, Mother Gothel?”

GIF COLORING TAG: Post some of your gifs before and after editing!

This took a bit becuase I don’t save my PSD’s unless it’s for really hard to color scenes that I plan to gif more of, so I had to go through the ones I did have saved for random fandoms.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not real creative when it comes to coloring gifs, I mostly just use Curves, Levels, Brightness/Contract, and Selective Color to color correct especially for Star Wars and Game of Thrones. Those dark scenes are AWFUL. 

I have to say I’ve learned so much from Tumblr and the awesome gifmakers on here and for that I am so grateful for this community of content creators who share their experience and knowledge to make this website a fun and enjoyable place!

after sharpening, my process always starts with curves, and that’s where the biggest difference is. then adding vibrance, playing with color balance, and selective color! i honestly wing it every time and color each gif individually, even if it’s the same scene and i’ve giffed it before bc i always find ways to change/improve it. most of the coloring is just erasing whatever weird filter the editor put on it, and making skin look like skin again. after about 8 months of making gifs i still kinda don’t know what i’m doing but these look pretty so!!!

also in 2021 i am not gonna care about notes anymore just what i want to make (at least i’ll tell myself that skdjfjsj) 😌
