Finally a journal spread after a long time.
Art journaling had been my go to medium to express myself when words have failed me. But since in last couple of years, I haven’t spiraled down my old self, I have seldom journaled.

This technique could be accomplished with all sorts of themes. I am partial to eucalyptus leaves as well as palm fronds both of which would work well. The stickers look like they were made with washi paper. It’s delicate but the colors are slightly muted and could easily be matched to fountain pen ink.

Here’s my uncommon art journal resting on the instinctually stitched peace quilt I’ve been working on since Ukraine was invaded.
I’ve had to step away from my news apps cuz I was getting pretty depressed.
When something is bothering me, I start a project to help me process what I’m feeling. It’s a balm to my frayed nerves.
Thank goodness for art making!
