Allow Zimbardo to Mean Something New

I am not interested in hype; I am interested in what actually shifts your life, especially
when it comes to Zimbardo — and power structures behavior more broadly.

This is one of those topics where depth matters more than aesthetics. It is worth slowing
down for a moment and actually feeling what power structures behavior means in your life
right now.

Whatever your relationship with Zimbardo right now, there is room to look at it without
judgment.

Today I am not trying to cover everything. I am just offering one angle: practical: reading
your own environment.

Take what resonates, leave the rest. If this lands, give yourself a quiet moment to sit with
it. Real change often starts in those small, unseen pauses where you finally tell yourself
the truth.

How To Become A Reformed People Pleaser

Being like an ostrich with its head in the sand does not make the problem go away.

Becoming a people pleaser happens when you give away your personal power. It is a coping mechanism. Giving away your personal power, saying yes when you really mean no, is an outward sign of an inner conflict within yourself.

It may begin simply as a way to keep your job, join a new group of people, or a host of…

When Words Float and Behavior Lands

There’s a quote by James Baldwin that has been echoing in my head lately like a stubborn song lyric you can’t shake“I can’t believe what you say, because I see what you do.”It feels like the quote of the moment. Maybe the quote of the decade.Because everywhere we look right now from politics, institutions, social media, to relationships, there is an enormous amount of saying. Statements.…

Scientists ran a “lost object” test with pet dogs, pet cats, and toddlers. When a human searched for an object without asking, over 75% of dogs and toddlers tried to help. Most cats just watched, and they mainly joined in when the object was something they personally wanted, like a treat or toy.

The Leaders Who Shape Culture Without Trying

The Leaders Who Shape Culture Without Trying rarely announce cultural change. Instead, their everyday behavior becomes the signal employees observe and imitate. Organizational culture does not emerge from mission statements or internal presentations. It forms through patterns of action repeated by influential figures. How leaders respond to pressure, reward success, tolerate mistakes, or treat…

my project deals with Generation Alpha, iPad kids, Sephora kids, & the discourse that currently surrounds them on social media. if any of this interests you, please consider filling out the form! i would greatly appreciate it :)

IMPORTANT: if your birth year is from 2010+, please DO NOT fill out the survey. Thank you!

accountability From the Other Side

I care about emotional intelligence more than performative confidence, especially when it
comes to accountability — and power structures behavior more broadly.

This is one of those topics where depth matters more than aesthetics. It is worth slowing
down for a moment and actually feeling what power structures behavior means in your life
right now.

Today I am not trying to cover everything. I am just offering one angle: structures shape
behavior more than we admit.

Take what resonates, leave the rest, but give yourself a quiet moment to sit with it. Real
change often starts in those small, unseen pauses where you finally tell yourself the truth.

New psychology research reveals a vicious cycle involving smartphone use and feelings of disconnection

A new study published in the journal Addictive Behaviors provides evidence that excessive smartphone use and feelings of disconnection fuel each other in a continuous daily cycle. When college students feel unfocused, they often reach for their phones for relief, which actually tends to leave them feeling even more detached the following day. These findings suggest that breaking this loop requires actively replacing screen time with meaningful offline activities.

Dean moves like he owns every room he walks into. He’s relaxed, shoulders loose, leaning back like nothing can touch him. Pure confidence.

His face often seems to be frozen and most of the times all you can see is anger. Yet there’s a smirk now and then, arrogant and superior. He holds eye contact too long and looks at people like he’s already five steps ahead. His movements are slow and controlled, but when he snaps, it’s quick and brutal, without a warning. He gets way too close on purpose, ignoring personal space just to prove he can and yet the second someone gets too close to him, he turns straight into defense mode. His crossed arms aren’t about insecurity, they are about superiority, a sign that he’s untouchable. His movements stay slow and controlled.

And he never breaks that intense, piercing stare, not even when the other person can’t handle it and looks away first.

I’d… Backup Plan: Full Mission

I’d… Backup Plan: Full MissionBackup Plans — The Real KindBy: Emmitt Owens(Index: #02232026)

Let’s talk about backup plans, because a lot of asshats out there have their whole system thought out. “I’ll keep him/her around if this doesn’t work out.” That’s asshat ideology. It’s selfish, it’s cowardly, and it guarantees you’ll never fully show up for anyone … including yourself.     Let me…

A new study provides a comprehensive global synthesis of how vessel traffic affects large marine wildlife, including whales, dolphins, seals, manatees, sea turtles, sharks and rays.

Drawing on over four decades of published scientific research, the meta-analysis combined findings from more than 200 peer-reviewed studies conducted around the world. In total, nearly 1,900 comparisons were compiled…
