This article describes how Einstein-Rosen bridges (colloquially referred to as wormholes) don’t provide a shortcut from one part of the universe to another, as us laypeople tend to think of them, but rather, as indicated by Einstein and Rosen’s work, could provide a gateway between two symmetrical parallels where time moves in different directions on each side. A fascinatingly thought stimulating theory that this article also posits is that the big bang may not have been the ‘start’ of our universe, but an example of an Einstein-Rosen bridge, that connects our parallel (in which time moves in a forward direction) with an opposite parallel in which time moves in a backwards direction. While Einstein-Rosen bridges are highly unlikely to exist, due to the fact that the amount of energy taken to create one would cause it to immediately collapse in on itself, this theory could be possible. How cool is that?! 💫🌌

Okay but it wouldve been so cool if the Upside Down was an extension of Henry/Vecna/The Mind Flayer/and Will’s minds. Like the goal was to pull Dimension X and Hawkins together but what if that was just the Mind Flayer? And Henry/Vecna has been turned to think that “his” idea is to put weak people inside his mind (remember when he said weak minds belong in his mind? or smth?)
so basically the idea is that the Bridge that connects the UD and DX together is a huge MOTOR NEURON. not just that, but a DOUBLE SIDED motor neuron. the “exotic matter” is actually the cell body of the neuron (the bridge!) and THAT’S where henry is keeping the children. Both sides of the neuron have the axon terminals (tunnels) that are imbedded in both the UD and DX, which is what’s pulling the world’s together, with the power of the Children’s minds within the cell body (exotic matter/bridge). it would make the story more interesting to learn that the Demos from DX are traveling through the terminals, through the cell body, and out the other side into the UD and Hawkins for domination. PLUS it would make an even cooler rescue mission since all the kids are trapped in the Bridge and not DX/The Abyss

[[MORE]]Everyone is pissed off about ships in stranger things (understandably ) but I’m so sorry guys I’m way to big or a nerd for that I’m just so happy with what they did making it more science based than magic. Genuinely the first time I’ve seen a wormhole in a media and not immediately gotten pissed off due to it being cheesy and not making sense.
