Trance, inhibitory technique: sensory deprivation, sleeplessness, fasting, or slow breathing. Serves to silence internal dialogue.
Scrying: For divination. After entering a trance, use a reflective surface to look upon it and watch as images arise in your mind. Area should be candle-lit
Axis Mundi: Central axis which unites all zones of experience and states of consciousness. To be relaxed in the moment means you are at the center of your magical reality.

EXERCISES
Personal shifts: Observe the way your posture makes you feel. Be aware of habitual seating patterns. Be aware of body language used. Use this method daily to become aware of habits, then try some new ones out. Ask yourself: Does this lead to changes in behavior?
Visualization practice: Stand straight, close eyes, be upward and relaxed. Try leading with different body parts. Imagine you are being pulled along by each body part. Record your feelings.
Approach to exploring perception: During a meditation session, visualize simple shapes and work up to imagining more detailed scenes. Explore with different colors. Observe how smells evoke memories and build your own correspondences between perfumes, emotions, and symbols for use in experiences.
Body of light: During a meditation session, raise a body part slowly. Be aware of changes in muscles, air resistance, and movement of joints/bones. Repeat a few times. Then start to imagine you are raising that body part. The goal is to discover that you can move freely around in your body.
Star Chamber: Visualize the eight-rayed chaos star whirling in front of you so that it becomes a whirling vortex. It draws you inside. In the center is a crystalline pillar, set at waist-height. This is your personal astral temple; a safe place to go for all works of magic.
Telepathic dreaming: In real life, you might dream about someone. Someone else might even dream about yourself. In these dreams, we might encounter situations that end up happening in real life. If this is the case, talk to them about it, if you want. Magic in life is about building connections.
Establishing a telepathic link between 2 people: Using a scent/perfume. Associate a scent with the other person. Spray this smell before sleeping. While relaxed, formulate an image of the other person, and a statement of intent. “I will dream of (name) tonight)”
Guiding dream content: prior to sleep, perform a relaxation exercise. Formulate intent for your dream: “It is my will to dream of XYZ.” Visualize the scene you desire as you fall asleep. Use a graphic/mantric sigil: “I will become lucid whenever I see a yellow sphere floating towards me.”
Core elements of centering: Give attention to physical presence. Establish gates of which you are at the center. Self-identify with a chosen source of inspiration.
Servitor creation: Define your intent: Will the servitor be for healing, protection, binding, harmony, luck, divination, mood enhancement, success, etc. Define the specific intent: what will be the core of their purpose? What are your motivations, desires, goals? Create a symbol appropriate to their task. Is there a time factor? Is a name required? Is a material base required?
Easiest ways to experience gnosis: Sexual orgasm, pain overload, or through the use of psychedelics.
Principles of mask work:
- Full face - no mouth, cannot speak.
- Half face - has a mouth, can learn to speak.
Mask work ritual:
- Game animals: Take on the animalistic role of the mask and act it out.
- Game faces: Make a bunch of sad, angry, happy, etc. emotes for a few minutes. When done, think about how this experience made you feel and write down any connections.
- Paint each other’s faces - or your own, if you are alone.
- Use props to roleplay the different animals you dress down as.
- End this experience with a banishing ritual.
