I had a longer post riffling about how awful this Demacia season has been outside of the Gameplay of the metagame, but I’ll just shorten to this to save myself the headache: I don’t know what riot was thinking releasing 3 comics in a row that all could be summed up as “Press F to Feel Sad”.
This season’s narrative content really is just the “this could have been an email” of lore releases. I feel like I’ve learned less having engaged with the content than I had before it started. These plots are so phoned in and just boring that it really is impressive.
And this:
Just ugh. My eyes are rolling out of their sockets. I get it, Riot, you can’t go 5 minutes without making sure you convey to the audience you think magism is bad.
The writing is like a caricature of every bad left-wing, chronically american writing/media norm put together.
