Okay, the idea of controlling trees is AWESOME. I recently read The Shepherd King duology - which had forests that moved… and I will be forever haunted by the scene in a danmei novel where the cultivator had the roots ripping out of the ground to grab living corpses and drag them into the earth… I’m pretty sure that involved the Zhenlong Chess Formation, so 2ha. And now we have trees skittering around in Whispers of Fate! They are playing to my interests here…

STOP 👏🏻 HANGING 👏🏻 HARMFUL 👏🏻 SHIT 👏🏻 ON 👏🏻 TREES
STOP 👏🏻 CRAVING 👏🏻 SHIT 👏🏻 ON 👏🏻 RANDOM 👏🏻 TREES 👏🏻
it ain’t charming or cute find a dead log or something but LEAVE THE LIVING TREES ALONE craving in their bark will harm the tree and expose to harmful diseases and bacteria. It’s no different than carving into your skin.
The harmful things are synthetic like polyester cloth or thread, consists of plastics things aren’t at all biodegradable that can harm the tree and the wildlife.

After going through an especially heartfelt veneration of the Yew Spirit not that long ago, I came back to discover a preserved dead bird simply resting upon its branches.
Oh mighty Yew tree—Quiet Sentinel of the Moribund Way—I thank you for this gift.

Bark from a birch tree!
Magical Associations: New beginnings, purification, protection, love, banishing negativity.
How to Use: Write wishes or intentions on bark and burn them. Use in purification rituals. Add to protective charms. Incorporate into love spells and banishing rituals.
Where I live, birch trees are everywhere, due to the colder climate.
These trees symbolize renewal (from the seasonal shedding),
fertility (due to being a colonial species, taking over dead forests that have been burnt, or cut down)
purification (from it’s natural antiseptic properties),
courage and protection (although it appears fragile, it grows in acidic soils, cold climates that many trees fail to thrive in. It also is a home to the fly agaric mushroom, providing psychic protection as well! It is said to protect the journeyer from madness and Faery tricks. So if you find yourself in birch forest, know you are being protected.)
Here’s some more uses!
Burn pieces of Birch bark as a purifying incense. Essential oil and infusions of Birch may be added to cleansing floor washes.
A Birch log burned at Yule will bring luck and prosperity for the arrival of Spring. (If that’s not practical, apartment-dwelling Witches, use a white candle wrapped in Birch paper or scented with Birch)
A magick wand made from Birch is ideal for protective magick and inspiration.
–Birch brings an abundance of potent, positive energy to magick. Invoke the Birch spirit for an auspicious start to new ventures. Meditate on Birch for resilience during hardship. Incorporate Birch into charms for love, protection, and wisdom. (This entire paragraph was taken from the website below. The information I have written above is also noted from this website.)
