As someone as actively depressed and suicidal as me, I rarely ever say anything about going to kill myself when something bad or upsetting happens.
Like when something goes wrong and you respond with “I’m going to jump off a bridge, I swear” or “I’m gonna become a statistic.” I never do that
Instead, I say “I’m gonna make some else a statistic” or “I’m gonna throw someone off a bridge.”

I think an advantage Writers could have is that you can basically write on any hard surface and with a pen, pencil, quill, chalk etc etc and it’s easier to Write wherever you are than… Paint? of course it also depends on the complexity of your story and its length, but even then it’s easier to carry around a notebook and a pen and write wherever you find yourself than….. needing a canvas+brushes+paint(+cleaning afterward+not mistaking the dirty-with-paint water cup and the coffee cup) that is.. an advantage, surely
And they can also set your house on fire. Who needs artistical powers when you have good old weapons and fire (except if the fire *was* started by Writing..? What. hm, imma drop the idea straightaway but I’m still as curious as to how the Writers’ power works and differs from the Painters’)

not liking arcane season two is like if Spider-Man 3 was the most beloved movie ever and there’s tons posters and fanart and edits of it and everywhere you go people are talking about how good it was and they go “isn’t it so cool how they confirmed harry x peter as canon” and you think ‘I don’t think that happened ‘ and everyone’s saying how well they handled the Goblin jr thing and you feel crazy because it wasn’t really handled well and you see a valid critique of how there’s too many villains and plot lines and all the comments are calling them sexist even though, while MJ is given a lot more character depth in Spider-Man 3, it doesnt make the movie a feminist masterpiece and you see edits everywhere of Peter’s black suit and it looks ok but people are acting like it was a genius character choice and you see ship art of harry and peter tagged ‘love these canon gays’ and you’re confused how the same people who use MJ’s excellent characterization to prove the movie is good forget about her for the sake of an inferior gay ship
i may be alone on this one but as someone with multiple severe phobias i extremely dislike when characters overcome their fears (i understand it for character development and its a super common arc). i especially ESPECIALLY HATE DESPISE LOATHE it when characters “overcome their phobias” I HATE IT
like i said i’m probably alone on this but i would much rather see them work around it
there are times where it’s done well. my favourite is ben from jwcc. like that was natural. he didn’t have a choice and it wasn’t immediate. i liked that. GO JWCC/JWCT
