Vicious beast succumbs to ear rubs

Stuart Says: This graphic novel isn’t for readers who are uncomfortable with blood and gore (it contains plenty of both). However, the contrast between the cute illustration style and the grisly subject matter kept me engaged from start to finish.

Stuart Says: I try to steer away from reality television these days, but RuPaul’s Drag Race has remained a guilty pleasure for years. This memoir is an entertaining and insightful look at the man behind the show. Learning how RuPaul brought the artform of drag into the mainstream on his own terms made this book both fascinating and deeply inspiring.

Stuart Says: I realize this book has been included in past staff picks, but it’s just that good. The characters and world-building are top notch, and the balance between humor and tenderness is masterfully done.
