I know i keep posting but whatever-
Idea on gender in Cybertronian society- its not a thing. At all. Its simply what ever you feel like being. They only have pronouns because there found its easier to refer to each other that way. ‘Mech’ and 'femme’ builds literally just mean the difference of your pedes and your chassis. And even then, most the time its not that much different. Strongarm, Chromia, and (in some continuities) Elita-1 are all 'masculine’ femme builds that are so masculine they could pull of being mechs. Starscream, (in my au) Knockout, and Sunstreaker all have more 'feminine’ builds and could pull off being femmes. Lowkey, gender is not really a thing in Cybertron, so like- no one can really be misogynistic? If they are somehow- then they are just an stupdi fraggin afthole.
Anyways, now that im cementing more of Staticus’s lore, I’ve decided Staticus uses gender like a game. Oh, what pronouns does Staticus/Statica have today? You have to guess and if you get it wrong on the first try, then Staticus/Statica won’t be talking to you the whole day. (Its a trick, they dont use pronouns most the time, they literally ask people and if its someone they like, then whatever pronouns that person guess first is the pronouns Staticus uses for the day, if they dont like the person, they just use this as an excuse to not talk to them all day.)
Edit: I forgot to mention that all of them are intersex in the 'genetalia’ department. All of them.
Strongarm gets more and more ACAB each re-watch of rid.
Lies the most
Very aggressive
Doesn’t want to listen or hold back
Uses codes to justify police brutality
Obsessed with authority
Actually leads people astray more than the faction called the Decepticons
Actually off of my previous Girl dad Prowl post, I’m now wondering how entertaining it would be if Strongarm actually just had NO idea that her dad knew and worked directly under Optimus for most of the war.
I mean, hear me out here.
This would only work because it’s Prowl. Prowl is the get results guy of the autobots. He doesn’t care about what stories get told after the fight is over, or who gets the most credit, all he cares about is that the battle is won and they all walk away with the minimal number of casualties and resources spent. Furthermore he never showed up in TFP and didn’t take part in any of those heroics. Instead he was off quietly getting shit done in other parts of the universe.
And I honestly think this is a reasonably consistent part of his character throughout the franchise! Like even in the g1 cartoon, Prowl was always just sorta there doing stuff and not saying a lot. I don’t have solid numbers to back this up but I honestly think Bluestreak has more lines than Prowl in G1. Hell, Huffer might’ve had more lines for all I know.
[[MORE]]My point is that as far as I can tell Prowl is the kinda guy who does not care if people build statues of him or tell stories of his heroics and would, in all likelihood, probably prefer they didn’t do any of that stuff so he could get on with whatever it is he actually wanted to do.
Which in this case, was probably raising Strongarm and then quietly retiring off planet so he could do whatever we think Prowl would do in retirement. (He seems like a stamp or coin collector kinda guy to me)
That isn’t to say that he deliberately kept stuff from Strongarm. It was more of a “it never came up” kind of thing. Like she’d ask him about Optimus, and Bumblebee, and Arcee, and all the other heroic autobots since she knew he served and he’d tell her all he could because, well, she was asking. He just never thought to add, “and I know all this because I was there”.
I’ll be honest in confessing that I’m mostly forwarding this idea because I like to think of a made up RID15 episode where Prowl winds up coming to Earth to check up on Strongarm and how she is doing there. Coincidentally, Bumblebee and Driff, the only two members of the team who recognize who prowl is, are off doing something somewhere for some reason and so can’t clear up just who Prowl was in the greater autobot command structure during the war.
And of course somehow decepticon prisoner shenanigans occur and Strongarm really doesn’t want her dad involved at all because, well, while hes a veteran of the war he’s also technically retired from active duty and is currently a civilian. (Maybe Prowl has also suffered some kind of damage at the tail end of the war that works up sometimes like an old battle wound, or he has the cybertronian equivalent of a permanent prosthetic. I dunno. Just a sudden brain wave). So shes pretty stern that he remain at base where its safe and not get involved at all.
And I think Prowl would respect this to an extent. This is Strongarms jurisdiction. She knows what shes doing. And hes confident in her.
This does not stop him from giving advice. Not to Strongarm. But to Sideswipe and maybe even Grimlock. Which proves to be insanely effective. (And maybe makes strongarm a little jelly. I mean, yeah she told him not to interfere but like… hes HER dad.)
Thing is the decepticons on Earth mostly have no idea who Prowl is. They were all largely regular criminals or relative foot soldiers in the grander war. A few of them may have heard about the autobots terrifyingly effective second (third?) in command through the metaphorical grapevine but they might not recognize his name and definitely not recognize him on sight. So they would have absolutely no qualms about targeting him.
Meanwhile older decepticons with more experience in the war or just a wider body of knowledge know exactly who Prowl is. And would rather run in the opposite direction while desperately praying he leaves Earth soon rather than tango with the autobots whiles hes amongst their ranks.
Which mostly just builds up to some decepticon picking up on Prowl is Strongarms parent and deciding it would be a great idea to target the old autobot retiree and either hurt him to get back at Strongarm or else take him as a hostage to get what they want.
And is therefore completely at a loss when Prowl absolutely lays them tf out. (or better yet finagles things so they lay themselves tf out. I mean, he is more brains and skill than brawn after all).
I dunno how all this would end exactly, but Prowl leaves happy knowing Strongarm is doing alright and has a good team backing her up as well as a good role model in Bumblebee. Whether or not Strongarm learns of her fathers real history is up in the air. Could be funny if Fix-it finds out and tells Grimlock and Sideswipe while Strongarm remains in the dark purely because they assume she must already know and that worry about Prowl was just cause hes her dad.
Man this post really got away from me. I was not planning to outline a whole fic concept just get my ideas out there.
I need content of Prowl being Strongarms father. I wanna make him such a girl dad.
I dunno its just perfect. Their personalities would compliment each other so so well. Plus, Prowl being an enforcer pre-war might inspire Strongarm to try and become an officer herself. Same thing with Strongarms interest in Optimus Prime, and the rest of autobot high command. Prowl would have told her all about it.
Thing is, I think Prowl would also be, like, a super embarrassing dad. Like, they’d be formal and professional at first. Especially if there is some decepticon or criminal shenanigans going on when Prowl shows up. But the microsecond they’re in a relaxed atmosphere…
The pictures are coming out.
Strongarm dreads the pictures. She has been trying to avoid the pictures coming out this whole time.
Prowl will not be deterred and Strongarm respects him too much to really push too hard.
Sideswipe LOVES the embarrassingly adorable pictures of a young Strongarm. (as he would)
Notably I can easily see Sideswipe being intimidated by Prowl at first. Prowl is way more of an authority and is quite severe and sharp in his personality when compared to some of the other veteran autobots featured in the series. The only one who comes close is Ultra Magnus.
But Sideswipe quickly proves himself to be a good friend to Strongarm who challenges her in healthy ways. I’d go so far as to say that their friendship reminds Prowl a lot of his own days with autobots like Jazz and Bumblebee and others. So by the end of his visit, Prowl is way friendlier with Sideswipe and even asks him to continue looking after Strongarm in his absence.
Plus I somewhat ship Sideswipe and Strongarm together, so this would double as very subtle “meeting the parents” type story.
Nightra: No, I- I shouldn'ta come here. I’m just puttin you bots in danger.
Strongarm: Ha! Danger is my middle name! Or, it would be, if Cybertronians had middle names.
Nightra: Earth has made you really really weird, Regs. It looks good on ya!

*ghostface still slightly agitated focuses on the road ahead, strongarm starts drifting off. But while you watch cars you count them, and note the colors. Red to the left, white to the left. Blue to the right. Black behind, white passes us. Grey car to left, then an army green, black car behind. Blue to the right. After a while the Rainbow of colors pass, except the black car behind. Two hours pass and it still follows.*
*out of the bottom of the wrist pops out a blade, one side was a blade, with seration near the hilt. The other side of the blade has a small D-clip, and a bottle opener* ta-da…
((It kinda looks like this))

((Cool!))
((Eh, not a fan…))
