SCREAM 7 SPOILERS!!
I just saw Scream 7 and wanted to give my honest opinions.
For some background I’ve been a fan of Scream for about 6 or 7 years now. I’ve seen every scream movie and rewatched all of them multiple times. The first one too many times to count. I have Scream merch aswell. And I’ve (this is a little embarrassing to admit) cosplayed Sidney and Tatum before too. I used to have Scream Pinterest boards on one of my old personal Pinterest accounts aswell. I’m also a huge Matthew Lillard fan. I’m mentioning all of this just to explain how much I love this franchise.
Anyways, I heard people say this Scream was trash, I kinda brushed it off because I mean Scream is a little silly in general at times. Like the whole scary movie franchise mocks it. So I wasn’t expecting something super serious. But I was still excited, especially because I’ve been waiting 2 or 3 ish years for this movie. When I heard they announced Matthew was coming back I was SO EXCITED. I had been hoping for him to make a comeback someday before Scream 7 was even announced. Anyway, I honestly did love most of the movie. I loved the references to previous movies in the franchise, them bringing back old characters like a Roman, Billy’s mom, Dewey, Gale, Chad, Mindy, etc. I loved seeing Stu’s house, I love that Sidney’s daughter is named Tatum, Etc. there’s so much more I could go on. But I was extremely disappointed that Stu wasn’t the actual killer. I was so happy when I thought it would be him and it wasn’t and that broke my heart. I’d been waiting for this movie for so long and for the possibility of Stu coming back and it didn’t fully happen. I think he should’ve been the killer. He didn’t get shot in the head in the original movie and so I think they could’ve wrote something around that and make him be alive. The killers were really lame and partially didn’t even make sense. Idk I guess I’m a little disappointed. But the kills were still creative. And Matthew still did an amazing job at playing Stu. I’m also glad Chad and Mindy didn’t die, because that would’ve been pointless. It makes sense though that Stu wasn’t the killer because if he was they would’ve revealed him differently and probably wouldn’t have revealed that Matthew was in the cast ahead of the movie coming out. I kinda also wish there was a cameo of Mickey because I loooove Timothy Olyphant. I wished there was a montage or flashbacks to the older movies too, that would’ve been cool. Anyway I did enjoy the movie but I think Scream 6 was better and I am slightly disappointed because of Stu not actually being back.

Someday I hope people will realize Scream and Scary Movie are two different things.
The generational damage Scary Movie has done to the franchise is crazy.
Also with the new movie coming out, as if the first 1 - 5 weren’t funny nor clever writing just fart and rape jokes, the only thing they can come up with now is blue hair gay trans laugh.
No clever punchlines, no crafted jokes, just “let’s offend the snow flake lefts”. Most Conservatives are afraid to be in the same room as a person of color. Not offended just really exhausted with bot level writing.

But he would like to know what he was agreeing to first… Maybe he should sacrifice himself? Baermar would probably be better at forcing this guy to chase him around so maybe he’d make it out even if he was chosen? James might not even care whether he got out or not… But sometimes he gets pretty fiesty too.
