His voice was thin from exhaustion, and he spoke in a hushed tone.
“Solei is dying.”
Tov’s heart stopped.

“It’s too much to explain over the phone.” Nyx said.
“Then come get me.” She said. “Take me to them.”
He inhaled sharply, “I can’t, Tov. It’s too risky—”

HELLO WALIS MY PARE!!! thank you very much! Solei’s birthday is actually today, we have the same birthday :)
1) I prefer digital art! I often get hung up on traditional because it’s harder to work around mistakes, but sometimes I do go back to it for sketches/layout because it allows me to draw more loosely. Though digital allows me to color without limitation, and coloring is my favorite part of the process :)
2) I used to really like 21st Century Literature back when I still had it. Probably my favorite!
3) So I attended a certain cosplay convention recently, and one of the merchandise vendors there was an artist by the handle of Bastinuod!
Let me tell you, it was like love at first sight. Their stand mainly featured Filipino reimaginings of popular Studio Ghibli movies, and the Spirited Away ones obviously caught my eye because it’s my favorite Ghibli film. I bought some of their stickers and prints which I cherish so dearly that I refuse to take them out of the envelope packaging.
My favorite work is the one of Chihiro in traditional filipiniana, and most of all the one where haku is a goddamn bakunawa. THE HAKUNAWA. incredible. i was quite literally gagged. please do check out the artist and show your support!

back when i was scrolling through shopee i found this artist named alfajone. they make botanic and insect art, and is overall nature focused. they have a variety of products like prints, washi tape, stickers, etc.
their shopee shop has long been closed but i managed to get their products when i attended a covention they were boothing in!
got their lily of the valley print because it’s my birth flower!
while on that convention, i discovered an artist by the name of @/buanyii! their prints and artsyle captivated me so much.
this is the print i got from them and the best part about it is that IT GLISTENS!!! IT SHINES!!! LIKE THE PAPER QUALITY WAS SO GOOD I WAS AT AWE!!!

for media interests outside of ALNST, i have to admit i’ve been a long time fan of pokemon. like, to the extent where i envision pokemon teams for every person and character i come across. my first pokemon game was emerald, and my latest one is pokemon violet! i’m also very into little nightmares, but i don’t think that comes as a surprise to anyone given my main account. my other interests are insanely niche and kind of lame so i’ll just leave them out.
as for hobbies… i honestly feel as though i’m a very boring person? outside of work i often partake in the usual, reading writing and drawing… i think my only other noteworthy “hobby” is playing the violin, which i don’t really count as a hobby anymore considering how infrequently i get to do it. i fear i’m quite boring in this regard, i’m sorry 💔 there’s currently not much time for me to explore much else, but i hope i’ll get the chance to find new things eventually.

actually! the brush that i use is just one that i found randomly online, and it’s not even meant for drawing in the way that I’m using it.
i found this on google when searching for ibis pens one day, and the wood one just captivated me with its texture for some reason. so much so that i began to use it for literally everything. i think you can tell just by the texture of my art lol

anyways, im currently working as a teacher! or more accurately a teacher’s aide (I oversee a class of 12th graders). I’m occupied from 6am-5pm, but I do occasionally squeeze in some of my own stuff inbetween.
If I could pick, though, I’d really want to go into arts, maybe animating or illustration/design :)

HI TOON 💖 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! you’re such a sweetheart and an incredibly talented person. I’ve said as much as I could in your birthday message, so I’ll keep it short for now.
1) My favorite Alien Stage song is probably Ruler of My Heart, but I will admit Cure and All-In gave it a run for its money.
2) I used to have pets! I had a fireleg tarantula and a black scorpion named Bakugo and Aizawa respectively (I watched a few episodes of MHA but didn’t get too into it, just chose those names cause I thought they fit lol). Smokey sounds so adorable :)
3) OC Fun Facts!:
- Solei is ambidextrous
- Jiu is anemic in the modern au
- Kioku wears velcro because she’s bad at tying shoelaces
- Para’s eyes are always closed and their resting face is an enigmatic smile. They are a somewhat confusing person
4) My favorite overall VIVINOS video is Tili Tili Bom because I love the implications and the metaphor for experimentation, but my favorite ALNST video is Black Sorrow because of the somber and dark atmosphere. And also because the shot of the meteor shower at the end was so mesmerizing.

Oh man. So many things are still hard for me to draw 😭 I feel your pain, sometimes you just wanna dress your OCs up pretty but that comes with the herculean task of drawing a million little details. I also agree, feet and shoes are hard for me to draw well which is why they’re so simplified in my art style.
For me, though, the hardest thing to draw by far is side profiles… my one true weakness…

i don’t know if i have a favorite drawing, to be honest. whenever i finish something im often dissatisfied and i have to leave it be for a while in order to be at peace with it.
though, if i had to pick, the ones that stand out to me are…
this piece of jiu purely because i liked the colors and because i vividly remember banging it out on my phone before my break ended at work
these luka ones because i liked how i rendered his hands and sleeves
and these ancient arts just because i was so taken aback by the positive reception. i was kind of embarrassed of them and genuinely wasn’t expecting people to like it or be affected by it at all, but the response really warmed me :)
