Replaying Starcraft 1 rn, currently on ep 2 where I have to play Zerg and honestly? Same Kerrigan, same. If I was abandoned by those whom I trusted and I had the powers to do something about I too would probbly go nuclear revenge.
…and this is probably why God has nerfed me to the ground and made it hard to achieve my goals. Because he too knows what I would’ve done if power and riches was easily in my reach.

Nuroka as a ghost definitely haunted Ma'lash’s air conditioning at times just to spite him.
Ma'lash enjoys cold temperatures? We’re gonna turn the room into a toaster and add in a slice of rainforest for humidity.
Ascendant: Highlord, we have a pressing issue.
Ma'lash: The enemy discovered Slayn’s location?
Ascendant: No, it’s the air conditioning, it’s consistently out of control and turning the building into a jungle.
Ma'lash: Oh dw about it that’s just my dead ex acting up again.
Holy shit it’s over a decade since Ma'lash died
I genuinely forgot about this bc he’s always alive in my head like what do you mean he died over 10 years ago???
diablo’s original creators are making a hero shooter? ⚔️
the team behind the goats of arpgs just dropped a roguelike shooter called project ethos. it’s currently in “community playtests,” but half the world is still locked out of the servers.
here’s how people are getting into playtests early for $0
is developer pedigree enough to save a new hero shooter in 2026?
day one (trust the diablo devs)
cautiously optimistic (show me gameplay)
hero shooter fatigue (enough already)
i’m just here for the loot (diablo brain)
See Resultsthe gaming graveyard is full of hero shooters that had “legendary” devs behind them. can a roguelike twist actually make this one stick, or are we just waiting for the next big arpg instead?
So okay, some of you may know that I downloaded Starcraft: Remastered a while back. I’ve been playing through the campaign off and on and was getting bored with it, so I was like, why don’t I make some maps? It’ll be just like old times. Not doing any crazy UMS games or anything, but just making a sandbox that I can beat up on the computer in.
It turns out that the original map editor was deprecated, and no longer available in the remaster. I went online and found that officially, Blizzard recommends ScmDraft 2 as the new de facto map editor. Folks, I tried all friggin’ day to get this thing to work, and it never loads because it can’t find some file it needs. There were a bunch of solutions on the forums… from like 2019, and none of them worked. I downloaded and installed all these other things like .net and some virtual console thing, all to no avail.
I finally found a forum post where someone said that they had to actually install the old deprecated StarEdit application, as the install of that contains the missing files. Well, I downloaded it and installed it, and just for fun I was like “let’s see if it opens.” And it does. And it looks exactly like I remember the map editor looking. I haven’t tried actually saving a map yet but like… did I just waste the whole day for nothing? Anyone else know what’s up with all this?
