if they go through with this–and i can’t remember a single time tumblr dot com course corrected in recent memory–i will genuinely be really really sad. one of my absolute favorite parts of this site was being able to look at the notes of a post and see the conversations it had sparked, see if someone had already raised a point i was planning to raise, see if the op had responded to a response i found interesting. this will massively hinder this from happening, while also making it much harder to use the notes of posts as blocklists (a basic proactive safety precaution to be a trans woman with any kind of following on here) and much easier to direct harassment at whomever one pleases

Lines of thought that seem Normal but are actually rooted in extreme puritanism:

-Seeing the nude human body is inherently traumatic
-Sex scenes in art are pointless
-Wearing kink-related clothing in public is the similar to performing a sex scene in front of unwilling participants
-Depicting female characters expressing sexuality is always degrading
-People’s sexual fantasies are always an endorsement of the behavior they want to see in real life
-Sex work is more traumatic and coercive than other types of work

The goal is to treat sex as just another thing people do. That is a much healthier attitude than hiding it! It’s not uniquely traumatic, it’s not weird to talk about it or include it in society.

The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve. 

Soon, you’ll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog’s author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.

If a reblog doesn’t add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn’t lose notes just because people spread it quietly.

Past notes will stay on the original post — we’re only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be… a lot.

A 15-year-old boy from Mainz stole a public bus in Wiesbaden and drove it through rush-hour traffic for over 100 kilometers to Karlsruhe. There, he picked up his 14-year-old girlfriend at her home to take her to school.

According to the police, the boy had stolen the bus early Friday morning from the premises of a public transportation company. He reportedly opened the vehicle without using force and started it with a master key.

The bus was noticed to be missing late

“We don’t know how he got hold of the keys or why he was able to drive the bus so well,” said a police spokeswoman. It is also unclear why he drove his 14-year-old girlfriend to school in this unusual—and unauthorized—manner.

The disappearance of the bus, which had just been filled up with fuel the night before, was noticed at 6:00 a.m. Since it was initially assumed that a bus driver had taken the wrong bus, the incident was not reported to the police until around noon.

Teenager faces charges of theft

The investigation then led to Karlsruhe, where a police patrol spotted the bus around noon. Shortly before that, the 15-year-old had picked up his girlfriend.

This current trend of people being very openly hostile towards polyamory has made me realize a few things and among those things is that, apparently, to many people the bad thing about someone cheating in a relationship is simply that they are having sexual/romantic relations with multiple people at the same time. Like, that’s what the issue is to many of them that’s what’s morally wrong about it. Not the fact that they’re going behind their partner’s back to break a serious established boundary and their trust. Which is crazy

This is why they don’t care when you try to explain that polyamory is consensual therefore by definition not cheating it doesn’t matter at all because to them the issue was never consent. They just think being with multiple people at the same time is inherently immoral in any context even if literally everyone involved is cool with it
