Having to trace back in my history to connect the dots reveals a creeping truth that was always there.
Brain-thinking forward
Body-maintaining record
Sudden illness: not so sudden, silently present within the body a very long time and simply revealed itself recently.
All the conscious decisions I made in the last year were my body consciousness directing me to more favorable conditions in order to facilitate and navigate this “surprise.” I look at it as maximizing my presence, fully embracing reality while staring my problem in the face.

That one character in SPINES who opted to avoid the whole ritual fallout murder drama bullshit and just become a tranquil garden (complete with frogs) which is accessible by but not a part of conventional reality had the right idea I think.
