every so often i rewatch a sitcom i liked a while back and find myself getting really into a het ship and i realized that even if i were to ship two people of the same gender i’m never going to get one of those awesome big first kiss moments like jess and nick in new girl or janine and gregory in abbott elementary. and if there is a subplot where there’s a gay couple they’re just not as exciting or interesting as the main relationship. please y’all i need more sitcoms where there’s main couple is gay and the show isn’t just about being gay. i say this as a lover of media revolving around queerness and someone who often makes that. i just want two main characters who fall in love and are the same gender and have amazing chemistry and an epic love story.

I got a little curious the other night if there was a Letterboxd type of thing, but for tv shows instead of movies.

I found Serialized!!! 📺

I’m waaaay more of a tv person! As many films as I watch, I probably watch 10 shows more! lol

I have watched A LOT in my time. And this list will be ever-growing.

So here’s where I will be keeping track of the tv shows I have watched, am currently watching, or plan to. As well as rankings and/or maybe seasonal rankings - if it remember to do those.

So if you’re a tv junkie & you wanna follow along with me & the insane rollercoaster that is my tv watching habits, follow me! ( :

I love 2 Broke Girls actually. It’s such a silly show and I’ve watched it since I was little. And Two and a Half Men, and Scrubs

Remember if you ever feel like the queer relationships in your fanfic or creative project are too healthy or self-indulgent, there are a million straight sitcoms where the main couple obviously should get a divorce but just inexplicably stay together and insist that they love eachother before making another “I hate my wife” joke. Your queer oc’s or blorbos are sensational the way the are! Let no one tell you otherwise.

What a weird discussion. Both Becker and The John Larroquette Show are great multicam sitcoms and I love them both.

A better comparison would be The John Larroquette Show vs Loudermilk. Both are very similar.

A cool thing about sitcoms straddling the 2010s, say Community, is you see each season how far smartphones go in just a year; season 1 is fully pre-phone, season 6 deeply screen-infused - Yahoo Screen, in fact
