🟩Summary: Israel is delusional if it believes that our engagement in security talks constitutes a waiver of the Syrian people’s rights🟩
Urgent | Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ibrahim Olabi:
- Field Visit: We conducted a tour of Southern Syria to survey the situation and listen to the suffering of the locals resulting from continuous Israeli attacks.
- Unidentified Substances: Israeli occupation aircraft have repeatedly sprayed unknown substances over Syrian lands in the Quneitra Governorate.
- Social Fabric: Israel is attempting to play a destructive role by inciting different segments of the Syrian people against one another using false slogans.
- National Sovereignty: The occupied Syrian Golan is Syrian land. Israel is delusional if it believes that our engagement in security talks constitutes a waiver of the Syrian people’s rights.
- Illegal Presence: We renew our demand for an end to the illegal presence of Israeli occupation forces in the separation zone.
- International Oversight: We emphasize the vital and important role of the UNDOF (United Nations Disengagement Observer Force) and the Golan observer team in monitoring and reporting Israeli violations as neutral UN witnesses.

What we are seeing in Minnesota is what authoritarianism looks like in real time. Racism, dehumanization, and state-sanctioned violence are tearing at the foundation of this country. We came to demand justice for Renee Good and everyone who has been terrorized by unqualified ICE agents — led by an unqualified DHS Secretary and an unqualified President.

What happened
• On October 30, 2025, at Charleston International Airport (CHS) in South Carolina, Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace got into a heated confrontation with airport police officers and TSA agents before boarding a morning flight.
• Mace was supposed to be met curbside by police who would escort her through security (a routine process for some members of Congress). But due to a miscommunication about her vehicle and arrival time, officers weren’t immediately in position.
• When officers finally reached her at the TSA checkpoint, she allegedly began cursing at them and berating them loudly, calling them “f—ing incompetent,” and saying this was “no way to treat a f—ing U.S. Representative.”
• According to police reports, she also referenced South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, asserting he would never be treated the same way — which drew public rebukes from Scott.
• Officers escorted her to her gate, and surveillance footage shows the encounter lasted several minutes.
How authorities and officials described it
• An internal investigation by the airport police department called the event a “spectacle” caused by Mace’s response to what they characterized as a “minor miscommunication” and said her language and tone left airport staff “visibly upset.”
• TSA supervisors and at least one airline employee told police they were shocked and upset by her behavior.
• Local and state leaders — including law enforcement groups — publicly supported the airport staff afterward, with dozens of officials signing letters backing them.
Nancy Mace’s response
• Mace has denied the police accounts, calling the reports a “politically motivated hit job” and claiming there were security lapses that endangered her.
• She has threatened legal action against the airport and American Airlines, and in public statements framed her outburst as a legitimate concern for her safety (citing broader threats and events).
Political fallout
• The incident became part of the broader political narrative in her campaign for South Carolina governor, with both supporters and critics using the episode to argue over her temperament and leadership.
In short, the “meltdown” refers to a profane tirade at airport security personnel after what began as a logistical misunderstanding, followed by public dispute and political responses from Mace and others.
Rep. García is a member of the Congressional Equality Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives — a bipartisan group dedicated to advancing LGBTQ+ rights and protections at the federal level. Membership itself signals consistent backing of LGBTQ+ policy priorities and collaboration with other lawmakers on these issues. Wikipedia
García voted to pass the Equality Act in the House — a major piece of legislation intended to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity across housing, public accommodations, employment, and federally funded programs. Chuy Garcia
This law has been a central legislative goal for LGBTQ+ advocates nationwide.
Before Congress, García built relationships with LGBTQ+ activists in Chicago — including securing endorsements from prominent local LGBTQ leaders — and pledged to have dedicated city-level outreach, such as restoring a full-time LGBT liaison in the mayor’s office and supporting community events and services for LGBTQ residents. ChicagoPride.com
In one 2015 interview, he described his consistent, long-term support for the LGBT community even when it was politically risky and emphasized the importance of inclusion in policymaking and civic participation. GoPride Chicago (ChicagoPride.com)
García has publicly affirmed that transgender rights and gay rights are human rights and signaled on social media and in public remarks that he will continue to champion reforms and protections for LGBTQ+ individuals from his position in Congress. facebook.com
He also has talked about fighting rollbacks of rights and discriminatory measures, especially those targeting transgender rights in federal policy debates. NY1
While not exclusively LGBTQ+ bills, García has co-sponsored broader inclusive efforts such as the Equality in Our Laws Act, which aims to revise federal legal language to be gender-neutral — a change that can positively impact nonbinary and gender-diverse people. Ayanna Pressley
Being in the Equality Caucus and supporting the Equality Act shows ongoing federal legislative engagement, not just occasional statements. His local history of coalition-building with LGBTQ+ advocates in Chicago further reflects long-term political support, beyond a single vote or speech.
