Why Leftists in the USA are not excited to vote?…
Voting for Democrats is a no-win scenerio for anyone remotely left-of-center.
If you vote for Dems and they win, then they know they’ll always have your vote, so they won’t need to cater to your or support your policy goals.
If you vote for Dems and they lose, then your support wasn’t worth chasing, so they won’t bother supporting your policy goals.
If you don’t vote for Dems and they lose, then your lack of support cost them the election, so they blame you and won’t support your policy goals.
If you don’t vote for Dems and they win, they clearly didn’t need your vote, so there’s no reason to support your policy goals.
No matter how you vote, the Dems won’t support any vaguely leftist policy goals, because the party establishment doesn’t want to and we can’t make them. As in, we literally cannot force them too. We simply don’t have that kind of political power. Ever since the political power of unions were muzzled, there have been no voices in the halls of power advocating for the working class. And it’s been that way for almost 50 years.
