we love to see it!
I am not here to rant; I am here to offer something you can use tonight, especially when it
comes to running — and everyday citizens in gov more broadly.
When government is dominated by the same narrow slice of backgrounds, you get policies that
reflect that single lens. We need more everyday citizens who have actually lived the systems
they are shaping.
Whatever your relationship with running right now, there is room to look at it without
judgment.
Today I am not trying to cover everything. I am just offering one angle: advocate for
diverse, grounded, citizen-led governance.
Take what resonates, leave the rest. If this lands, give yourself a quiet moment to sit with
it. Real change often starts in those small, unseen pauses where you finally tell yourself
the truth.
As though blackness couldn’t exist except under exact aesthetic and historical conditions.

very tired of people who pretend that representation of marginalized groups has to be palatable to the outgroup to be good. real ass queer people, neurodivergent people, people of color, etc. arent palatable to their respective outgroups and you’re expecting rep that just waters those experiences down to be realistic at all??
what frustrates the shit out of me is i *have* pointed out excessive violence aimed at women characters
by pointing it out, and saying “i don’t know if you intended to do this, but every single one of the enemies who died horribly is coded femme”
and then i walked away
there is absolutely no rational justification to call that dysfunctional because it’s a story. it’s not even my story. i only brought it up because the rest of the story was clearly trying to uplift women, and i thought that detail ran counter to

the author’s intentions!!!
i pointed it out to the author and i exited.
because it is none of my damn business!
people of every gender have the right to write a story where every person of every gender gets gunned the fuck down and gets their heads exploded! you deserve to draw that harem! you should add more sauce to the pot! because it’s not real.
if you want to write a fanfic with the worst representation in the world? then TAG IT. tag that it’s racist. tag that it’s misandry or misogyny. tag it if it’s transphobic. there IS a group of fics that are tagged that, and Dead Dove: Do Not Eat, that’s exactly what’s in it!
if you do not want to deal with the community that arises from that story? then turn the comments off. EASY, RIGHT?

I’m trying to make a wedding activity book and can’t find a coloring page where the bride is in a wheelchair. Could someone fix that for me?

ALTCommon Bonds returns in this second volume of speculative short stories and poetry featuring aromantic characters.
Housed within this anthology are a scientist who makes a terrifying discovery at the bottom of the ocean, a baker who must fulfill a prophecy, a priest and a witch who must form a family to escape a war, and a woman whose survival might just unravel time itself.
Through nineteen stories and poems, Common Bonds 2 explores the bonds that impact our lives from beginning to end: platonic relationships. From friends with benefits to mentors to life partners, this collection explores platonic relationships strong enough to overcome barriers of species, alien invasions, and the power of the gods themselves.
You know the feeling. You walk into the conference room and count. One. You scan the company directory and count again. Still one. Sometimes you’re the only woman of color. Sometimes the only Black person. Sometimes the only one who speaks Spanish at home or understands why Lunar New Year matters or knows what Eid is.
Being the “only one” is exhausting in ways that people who’ve never been it…
