HUGH HAS THE BEES!

I’ve been drawing too many of the same characters lately and I’m looking to stop doing that basically, expand my comfort zone or smth, but I can’t decide who to draw

I watched the “Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children” movie and it struck me with a forgotten hyperfixation!!! Already creating an oc in the works. Now I gotta get out the graphic novel I own and re-read it while I put on the movie for background noise/inspiration.

I am back after a few months of work,

Some of my recent observations:

-Miss Peregrine and Miss Cuckoo leaving for undisclosed times together (I wonder why)

-In my leisure time I have found that picking at what modern folk call ‘scabs’ often leads to bleeding (Still very fun to pick at though)

-Whilst on my break from the inter web many particular relationships being built

Also to those of you who know, is Henry the bee free yet? If not I hope for the best in finding him.

The word ‘alma’ in brazilian portuguese (as in many other languages with latin roots) means 'soul’ not just as a name, but as the actual word for it. I think this makes Miss Peregrine’s name much more symbolic for me and for others who have read the books in one of those languages.

I also think that even the Ymbrynes must feel this sense of depth regarding her name (someone who, ironically, looks after the librarian of the library of souls -almas in my language-), since the prophecies translated throughout the books are all in Latin, the very reason a mistranslation killed poor Velya :(

** ​I looked into the name when this realization came, and I discovered many different meanings for 'Alma’ when used as a name that also fit Miss P. perfectly, such as kindness, motherly love, defender, and caregiver.

Since i’m doing that danganronpa AU, i have a lot of questions 😥

- they have no peculiarity in this AU, or it’d be too obvious! “omg i wonder who killed this guy, they have so many bee stings”.. hmmmmm.. anyway, here they are:

1. What are design headcannons for millard? i personally can’t even imagine him so id love to hear!!

2. there are some nicher characters like Melina, Salvador, and Althea. I really only saw their victorian photos and graphic novel designs, but i don’t know if i wanna keep them . what do we think? Should i add little headcannons?

3. I have everyone’s death set in stone! (i aged them up a little so hugh and fiona are ~21 and Horace and Enoch are ~18 !! ) But honestly if someone wants to volunteer to read the drafts (spoiling urself) and see if it’s too much for these sweet characters lmk! x

4. Any headcanons for how the characters would act in panic mode? they’re all panicking here haha
